Advice From an Albino Monk

Chloe had warned that teleporting all three of them to such a distance might make her unconscious for a while. Cairo and Kevin were both ready for the plan and accepted its risks as long as it might help them leave the current dimension.

Chloe took hold of both their arms and murmured something under her breath. All three of them closed their eyes and waited, finally, Cairo felt his body lurch forward, and he felt a whooping sensation in his stomach. He opened his eyes, and finally, he saw a color other than red after quite a while. The had reached the forests of Sri Lanka.

Chloe's legs gave way, and she fell, but Cairo and Kevin managed to get hold of her between themselves. She had taught Kevin how to use the guide-me-spell and had instructed him to use it when they reached Sri Lanka.

Kevin raised Chloe's amulet high in his hands and murmured 'Setios Destinas'. Kevin and Cairo had been pretty sure that neither of them had magical abilities in them, but Chloe had assured them that a Kwelan would never run after any mortal unless he had magical blood in them. Deep within himself, Cairo was having a battle with himself to try and learn whether he was magical or not. Part of him knew that the Kwelan had not really chased him, it had just looked at him, and instead, it had chosen to run after Kevin. But another part of his reassured him that getting the amulet at his window, was too much of a coincidence. It must have been his destiny.

Suddenly the amulet in Kevin's eyes glowed bright and a small symbol appeared. It was very much like the symbol Chloe had conjured, but this one was mush more brighter and smaller. They followed the symbol, and half dragged and half carried Chloe between them. About half an hour through the journey, Chloe came back around. She still felt dizzy, but managed to walk by herself. Soon they found themselves at the doorstep of a small village enclosed by a boundary. It was the place where priests lived together and meditated. Also known as an 'aashrama'.

They entered the 'aashrama' and asked to see the Chief Priest. The head priest was an extremely old man, with balding head and hair which looked like cotton. He wore the an expression of extreme contempt as he stared down at the three teenagers. Unlike the people Cairo had met on the ship, everyone in this village looked more or less human.

"My Lord..." began Chloe. But she was stopped by the Chief Priest.

"I know you seek my help in escaping this wretched world. But if you want me to help you, then you must first help me"

"What do you want us to do?" asked Chloe.

"The peace of our village has forever been disturbed by the havoc created by the wild boars. If you manage to kill every one of them near our village, then I shall help you."

"But we are inexperienced people! How will we be able to kill those dangerous boars, when even your people can kill them, especially since we ourselves are new to this world" inquired Cairo.

"The power you ask.." said the priest pointing at Cairo "..Lies within you"

Cairo's whole body started to shiver, and from his pocket, the amulet slowly rose upwards until it was at eye level with the priest. Chloe gasped.

"I see, you have finally come to help us, Magnarcus"
