The Hunt

Cairo was stupefied as he looked at the amulet. So this was the Magnarcus! One of the things that had always bothered him was the things that he had seen in his vision. This was what the amulet had been trying to tell him.

Chloe looked at Kevin and Cairo furiously.

"Do you even know what you have done?" asked Chloe.

"What?" said Cairo.

"You have taken complete possession of the Magnarcus! According to the legends, the owner of the Magnarcus always has to fight off the dark forces that try to obtain it. No wonder the Kwelans were after you!"

"I am sorry, but can you be a bit more precise? What exactly is this Magnarcus? According to me, it is just a stone... And that Albino Monk absolutely refuses to tell me anything!" asked Cairo.

"Legends say that the Magnarcus was actually a gift of power to his faithful subject, Kalin. A few years later, Kalin started misusing the Magnarcus, and started creating chaos. In the end, one of the magicians had to use their powers to transform him into a white stallion and it destroyed his ego-"

"A white stallion!" exclaimed Kevin "We both saw a white hazy horse climb up Greencrest hill towards Cairo's house. I bet you anything that the bloke, Kalin, you mention, must have left the amulet there for Cairo to use"

"I told you not to interrupt me!" Chloe snapped "Either way, the stone is supposedly one of the most powerful substances in all dimensions. But more importance is given to what it can summon. It can summon the majestic bow of Thath, Paliolis!"

"How do I summon it?" asked Cairo.

"Wear it around your neck and control your emotions to take the form of a bow."

"How do you know that" asked Kevin curiously.

"We were taught summoning during our first year at headquarters" said Chloe.

Cairo, for the first time, since he saw the vision, pulled the amulet around his head. It felt unnaturally light and warm. He controlled all his emotions and felt heat surging through his body. He spoke a single word to his amulet-"help"

Suddenly, the air around him shimmered with electricity, and a majestic bow appeared out of nowhere in front of Cairo. Cairo walked forward casually, and picked it up from mid-air.

Carefully, he pulled at the string of the bow with immense power. the air around him compressed itself, until an arrow appeared on the string, and with extreme power, he shot the arrow towards the sky. The arrow split itself in midair and kept on splitting until, there were more that twenty arrows in the air, then they all charged towards the forest and the sound of screaming boars filled the forest.
