LB 17

The day that Rem had waited finally arrived, the first day of school. He woke up early as he was feeling excited. Mellow had cooked scrambled eggs and fried potatoes for breakfast. The two of them ate and Mellow told Rem to take a shower afterwards.

"I'll do the dishes, you can go shower now or you'll be late", he told Rem. The boy went inside the bathroom and took a quick shower while Mellow washed the dishes.

When he was rinsing the last dish, Rem had finished his shower and went outside the bathroom. "Mellow?", he called out.

"yeah? hold on a second", Mellow replied while wiping his hands on a cloth. He walked outside and saw Rem facing up towards him

"what is it?", he smiled. Rem replied, "can you pick out my clothes for me?", while giving Mello a pleading look.

Mellow answered, "okay, come on" and the two of them went inside his room.

Mellow had picked up a white shirt with a picture of Wall-E at the middle, along with a denim overall.

"Here, try these", he handed the clothes to Rem.

Rem puts them on and looked at the mirror. The clothes suits him so well. Mellow thought that the boy looked cute and chuckled. Rem turned around towards him and looked concerned. "what's wrong? Do I look bad?", he asked worriedly.

‎Mellow reached out to get a comb on top of his desk and sat down in front of Rem while facing the mirror. "nope, you look cute", he said as he gestured Rem to sit down in front of him. Rem turned red and sat down. "I'll do your hair, okay?", said Mellow as he combed Rem's hair.

‎"Mellow, do you think that I will have friends? Will they like me?", Rem asked all of a sudden. He was a bit nervous the fact that he was about to go to school. Mellow didn't blame him for asking such questions. Back in the day, he used to think the same thing as the boy did.

‎"Rem, you're the coolest and also the nicest kid I've met. You know so much about plants and how to take care of them, you read more books than me and also watches the best shows. You are perfect the way you are", he said as he finished combing Rem's hair. The two of them looked at each other in the mirror. "So, don't worry about what others might say and keep being yourself", Mellow said as he gave a pat on both of Rem's shoulders. Rem nodded as reply. "Good, come on! Let's go to school!"

‎Rem got up and went to the living room to get his bag and his lunch box that Mellow had packed for him. He waited for Mellow to get ready and the two of them set off to school.
