The day turned dark when they reached home. Iory dropped the two of them and drove off.

"Hurry Mellow! It already started!", Rem said impatiently. Mellow quickly put his tote bag on the dining table and rushed to join Rem in front of the television. The two of them watched their show for a while until Mellow heard Rem's stomach rumbling. He let out a small laugh and pat Rem's head. "You have something you want to eat?", he asked as he got up to go inside the kitchen. Rem followed suit. "Mellow.. I feel sleepy..", the boy said tiredly.

Mellow took two slices of bread and put them inside the toaster. "I'll make sunny side on bread for us, alright? We can go to sleep after eating", he said as he fried two sunny side eggs. To be honest, Mellow was tired as well but he can't possibly ignored Rem's hunger. The boy's health comes first.

After the toaster let out a "ding! ", Mellow also had finished frying up the eggs. He took the two slices of toast out and put the eggs on top of them. "Rem!", he called out. He had a feeling that Rem had dozed off. He put the breads on a plate and brought it to the living room. "Rem..", he said softly. Rem slowly turned towards Mellow with his eyes half open. "I'm sorry I..sss...slept..", he muttered as he snuggled against Mellow's lap. "Ah..hmm.. well it wouldn't hurt to save this for later", he spoke softly to himself and put the plate on the the table in front of the couch.

He turned the television off and lifted Rem up gently. "So light", he thought as carried Rem inside his room and the two of them hit the hay.

The next morning, Rem woked up and found himself alone at the house. "Mellow?", he called out. No one answered. Did Mellow left? He walked outside from Mellow's room and saw a piece of paper on the dining table. He rushed towards it and read the paper. It was written, "Rem, I'm going out for a while and probably be back by noon. I already made breakfast. It's by the kitchen counter. Eat up okay? I won't be long"

At the bottom of the paper was Mellow's signature. It was a capital M written in calligraphic.

"Mellow's handwritings are really pretty", the boy said to himself. He went inside the kitchen and ate his breakfast.

"nom.. nom.. nom.. ", he chewed his bacons and eggs hungrily. He felt lonely without Mellow with him. "does school also feels like this?", he thought sadly. Did he regretted about wanting to go to school? It would be a lie to say no. But he didn't want to be burden to Mellow. Besides, Mellow had done everything for him. Yes, that's right. He will go to school in order to make Mellow proud of him. He was filled with determination. All of a sudden, something jumped in through the window. It made Rem alarmed and stood up immediately.

"moww.."

It was only Paste. Rem crouched down and pet the fluffy cat. "Hello Paste. What brings you here?", he said as he scratched Paste's head.

"Oh yeah, the dishes.."

He got up and carried his plate and cup into the sink. He washed them up and put them on the dish rack. After that, he wiped his hands off on a cloth and picked Paste up. "Come on, let's go outside"

He took Paste outside the house and went towards Mellow's plants. "Today, I will be teaching you how to water plants", he said playfully. He put Paste down and picked up his blue watering can that Mellow had bought for him. He filled the watering can with water from a nearby tap and watered the plants.

Everytime he waters the plants, he would always sing a melody so that the plant would grow big and healthy and produce nice fruits. "Finish!", he said with a cute smile. "Now, I'm going to shower", he said as he enters the house. Paste went around the house and jumped on the bathroom window sill. Rem washed his hair and his body using a sponge bath. After he rinsed himself, he brushed his teeth and flossed afterwards.

Suddenly, he heard the front door opened. "Rem! I'm home!", Mellow said loudly while closing the door behind him. Rem ran outside the bathroom and hugged Mellow. "Hello! ", he said as he buried his face against Mellow.

"Looks like somebody just got out from the shower", he said as he tickled Rem's side neck. "Go put your clothes on before you catch a cold", he patted the boy's back. Rem did as he told and went ahead inside Mellow's room to get dressed.

"Rem! Come out when you're done!", Mellow shouted as he put a big paper bag on the table in front of the couch. A few seconds after, Rem came rushing towards Mellow, who was organising Rem's notebooks and his other school needs on the table. He noticed the big paper bag on the table. "What's that, Mellow?", he asked.

Mellow looked up to him, "well, why don't you find it out yourself?", he said with a side smile. Hearing this, Rem felt a little nervous but also excited. He reached both of his hands inside the big paper bag and felt something big and leathery. He took the big leathery thing out and to his surprise, it was a bag! The bag was brown in colour and had black stripes.

"Do you like it?", Mellow asked while rubbing the back of his hair. Rem didn't respond.

"Buddy? What wrong? You don't like it? "

Suddenly, Rem launched himself againts Mellow and hugged him. He loved the bag so much and was very grateful to Mellow. "Thank you so much Mellow.. ", he sobbed. Mellow hugged him back and stroked his head. "Don't mention it"

The two of them hung out together throughout the day while watching their favourite shows , The Amazing World Of Gumball and Adventure Time.
