Chapter 24 Birthday (3)

There are six sheep-eared beastmen who are waiting outside the Treatment house, Hu'er's family house. Each of them has a different color of ears and tail. They are the representatives of their group. There are six groups in the Sheep Tribe. They are divided according to color. It is to make sure their job is divided equally. Of course, those who already have a mate are not included in this group. They are focused on serving their female, making sure there is food for her to eat, and working a little bit to exchange food with the tribe.

Anyway, there are not just six colors of sheep but they are rare and mostly just go to the group that is similar to them the most. If not, then they will follow their mom and work for others to get something to trade with.

While waiting, they are already gathering information about the female that lives in the treatment house, Hu'er. Until now, they only know that her name is Hu'er and her daddies are protective of her because of the death of their mate, which they can relate to. There is a lot of beastmen who put their attention to their son or daughter when their mate died, mostly to work. But the way that even the neighbors of the female are hiding the information about her made them more curious about the female.

They aren't the only ones who came here. They are the second group who came into the Fox tribe. The Sheep Tribe sent twelve beastmen, six in each group, as they got the news that there are two females, who are going to have their second birthday this summer. It means that they have survived two winters already and have been blessed. This is what they mostly do. Go to the other tribe hoping they allow them to take at least one beastman as they 'trade' their wools.

"You guys aren't done yet?" A black-eared sheep came, and following him were six more sheep beastmen. They look happy.

The one who is waiting for Hu'er family's response nodded. This is the first time it happened. Every time they do trades like this, the family of little females would either agree or disagree immediately. At most, one out of twenty will disagree and the rest will agree.

"We immediately got the deal. They will get three of our beastmen," the brown-eared beastman proudly flexed. It is his first time doing trades and he is also the youngest trader so everyone just smiled. They too are like that when they did trade for the first time.

"That's great. This one is hesitating. They might disagree," he sighed. There's nothing they could do if the deal didn't go through. They just need to get the wools back or if not, they wouldn't be able to explain it to their tribe.

"Oh?" The white-eared beastman who's in charge of Hu'er's family trade told them about the information they gathered about the little female. When they heard about it, that's when everyone understood the situation. But hesitating means they still have a chance. After all, they already readied themselves that the Fox tribe won't accept them. Now they have made a deal with the other little female, everyone is already satisfied.

The red-eared from the second group asked if they had seen the little female already. "Yes. They let us in immediately and show the female. She's still young. The blessing she got might have not been quickly absorbed as she looks a bit sickly and skinny," worried.

"Will she be fine?" This is the first time they will be trading with the Fox tribe. The Fox tribe has always been rejecting everyone but two females have gotten into their tribe. They are just giving it a shot and trying if they will accept beastmen. Luckily, the tribe leader agreed. The old leader definitely wouldn't.

"Should be. I felt that her body is protected by the blessings. How about you guys? Did you see the little female?" Although they are not sure if the little female will survive, the blessing that the tree gave is in her body. There is a low probability that she will die. No tribe would want their female to die. They would surely do something about it.

"No. They never let her out or let us in their house. The beastmen around her, even the neighbor, are all hiding something. Their lips are tight." They also told them that in the beginning, they thought the little female was sick but based on the first expression they gave she wasn't. The neighbor's expression looks proud at first but then changes to nonchalant. As if they didn't want them to know something but they got the gist of it.

"Oh?" This made it more interesting for them. Before they could speak more, Jiu Hu went out of their house, and the sheep beastmen all walked toward him.

"She accepted. However, we can only promise you that she will take one as a mate. If you want to take back the wools, I will ask someone to—." Jiu Hu was interrupted by the white-eared who kept on declining.

"We agreed that you can take the wool if you agreed to take one beastman. We just hope the little female likes it." He looks sincere and happy that they agreed. This means the beastmen from their tribe have more opportunities to have a mate. And if the deal from both little females becomes successful, it means they have more possibility that the Fox Tribe will accept them again.

Jiu Hu sighed in relief and nodded. He honestly told them Hu'er's feelings about the wools, "She likes it."

The sheep beastmen's eyes shine. They finalize the trade and go back to their tribe. In the middle of the road, one of them suddenly spoke, "By the way… Did I remember correctly? Did Jiu Hu, the father of the little female, say earlier that, ''She accepted'? Does that mean the little female can speak?"

At the same time that the Sheep beastmen are speculating, the Fox Tribe is having a little conflict. Even Hu'er who is on the top floor of their home could hear a female yelling at her Daddies.

"Dada, I want to go down."
