Once Amara and King captured the escaped Fallen, Souji led both of them into the Fallen territory. He carried the Fallen on his shoulder, but he did tie up his arm and legs just in case. Amara followed right behind him with her helmet off and in her left hand. Her Abyssal Sword was now on her back which King could always eat.
However, as they had crossed the border this could be taken as an invasion. There was a reason that Azazel did not send troops after him once he crossed into Devil's lands.
"Hey, this a good idea to walk right into their turf?"
Souji nodded.
"You got nothing to worry about. The Great War might have ended in a shaky way and some small battles happen here and there our contact is not one of those warmongers. You might be surprised by who it is."
She snorted as both she and King had the same idea.
"Azazel."
"Arragh."
Souji looked at King who he could only assume to have said Azazel in that weird way he spoke.
"Fine, it's Azazel. He was the one who gave Sirzechs this request and he gave it to me."
Amara laughed a little which surprised Souji. As a baby, she was all smiles and laughs, but as she got older the rarer they became. However, every time he saw one, it let him know that she was having fun or was happy.
"You laughed. Haven't done that in a while."
"Well, I have not had a reason to, but it is never boring to be around you, uncle."
Souji shook his head a bit.
"Haven't called me that in 4 years."
Amara shrugged as they walked deeper in. King jumped from her shoulder into her arms as he needed to ask her something important. Something only the two of them could know. He was wondering how much her soul and body had synchronized.
'I have to say that it has risen rapidly over the years. Should not be much longer and this body will truly be mine. However, how is yours? This body should not really contain your powerful soul. We made it out of what he had on hand.'
His answer was a good one.
'So, your soul synchronization is going well? That is good. The faster our souls get used to our new bodies the faster we can get stronger.'
Amara sent some Soul Energy from her soul through her body to do a check. When she saw her progress she sighed in relief. Her personality and soul were both finally settling down into the body which is soul did not recognize at the start. The Spirit King had warned Draven that the Spell of Reincarnation would give him a body, and he could live in it without trouble.
But there could be issues with the body and soul not accepting each other fully. From what Amra found out her soul-to-body synchronization at birth was around 55%. At the start this would not be noticed, but later in life would it slow the growth of her power. However, over the last 10 years, that had risen to about 80% percent.
King started even lower at 20% because he was an Abyssal, but because of Amara, it was now at 55%. This would take years to fix, but it was not all that hard to fix. As long as they both kept fighting, kept improving, and living they would be stronger than their peak.
Before they got too distracted Souji spoke up.
"We're here."
King and Amara looked up and saw they were in a nearly identical stretch of forest.
"So, you call him with magic, or does he already know we are here?"
"I already know."
Amara and King glanced up at the sky where they heard the voice from. While the Fallen who Amara and King fought was a good warm-up, this guy would be the real deal. The half front of his hair was blonde while the back was black.
From his back emerged 6 sets of wings which set this guy as the strongest Fallen Angel. Azazel quickly landed in front of them and retracted his wings. He first looked at the Fallen on Souji's shoulder, then at Amara.
Amara could read people better than most and when she looked into his eyes she saw no evil intention. She lowered her guard and nodded.
"Nice to meet you. I am Amara."
She gave a polite bow which surprised Souji. She rarely if ever gave her name to anyone she did not respect. He also relaxed his guard as she had never been wrong about these things in the time I have known her.
"Guess you can be trusted Azazel. Here."
Souji handed the prisoner over to Azazel who wanted to know more.
"Souji, what makes you say that?"
He merely pointed at Amara.
"If she gives you her name, it means she feels you deserve to know it. She has not been wrong about these things. Ever."
Azazel looked at Amara and at King curious about that weird thing.
"I am Azazel, leaderof Grigori. Mind telling me why you say that?"
Amara pointed at his eyes.
"It's your eyes. I can tell a person's intentions just by looking into their eyes. You don't intend to backstab us or even fight us. Plus, you are more trustworthy than Nobles."
Azazel laughed as he found it amusing.
"I like you. So, are you Sirzechs' and Grayfia's daughter? I heard you popped into existence around 5 years ago, then you caused big stirs by punching people who you should not have for the next year. Then you kind of just vanished."
Amara truly meant what she said. She would trust Azazel more than Lord Bael, who was related to her.
"My hair give it away?"
Azazel nodded.
"Yeah, not just anyone has three natural colors in their hair. So, I see he does not have what he stole. What happened?"
Amara pointed at the Fallen.
"He ate it."
Azazel wanted to facepalm as that was not how it was supposed to be used. Souji turned to Amara as she had not spoken about the crystal.
"What?"
Azazel answered as he was in a good mood.
"It's my new invention. A way to store Light Magic in a crystal to allow a Fallen to use stronger attacks and techniques than they should. It's supposed to be used like a weapon, not eaten. How is this guy still alive?"
Amara pointed at herself.
"I drained the Light Magic that was burning him from the inside."
Both Azazel and Souji were shocked as even doing that must have been agony to a Devil. Amara saw how they looked at her and shrugged.
"It hurt a little."
Azazel shook his head as he turned around to leave. Before that, he reached into his pocket and tossed her a card. When Amara turned it over she saw a Fallen Magic Circle on the back.
"That magic circle will call me. I can teach you a thing or two about Fallen Magic if you want?"
Amara nodded and put it in her spatial storage.
"Thanks. I will do that."
Azazel teleported away after and once he was gone, Souji looked at Amara.
"You really going to take him up on his offer?"
Amara nodded.
"Learning a new system of magic is always useful. Plus, Azazel is someone who has been alive for an untold amount of time. The knowledge he holds could give me new perspectives."
As they walked back Souji asked her an interesting question.
"So, tell me. What do you think of Fallen, Angels, and Devils? What should be done?"
As they walked back Amara thought about it.
"Devils are far too backward and too obsessed with stupid things. Blood purity, honor, and petty squabbles. Angels, I can't tell you as I have never met one. Meeting one Fallen does not mean all are that reasonable. So, I can't tell you."
Souji was fine with that.
"Well then, let's get you home."
He walked next to her and placed his hand on her left shoulder. A magic circle opened up under their feet and in a flash, they vanished. When they reappeared they were home at the Gremory Territory. They were in the Town that Estate resided in so they had to walk a bit.
"Did you do that on purpose Souji?"
The knight did not answer and just walked.
"Come on, I think the people would be happy to see you."
"If any remember me, that would be a shock. I have not returned in 3 years."
"That would be our fault. We almost never stay in one place. It was because of how important it was you were safe that Second and me were placed as you guards. Ever since then you have ran all over the Underworld with the three of us."
Amara patted him on the back.
"Its been a informative time."
"I am glad. If I can't take you, I will ask Second to take you to the Forbiden Realms."
Amara nodded and as they were walking some people began to look at them. As both of them had not been here for a couple of years not many recognized them. However their were those who had better memories.
A middle aged woman was the first to recognize them.
"It's sir Souji and miss Amara!"
She said it quite loudly so when the gathering croud heard that they all began to rush to them. Souji was famous for being part of the Devil King's Peerage and Amara for being the Devil King's daughter. Before they could be swarmed Souji looked at Amara and nodded.
Both of them vanihsed as they used God Speed to run away. The croud sighed as many wanted to get a autograph or at least ask a few questions. With God Speed they arrived right infront of the Estate.
Amara sighed as she shot a glare at Souji who knew she hated big places. Especialy when she did not have her helmet. As if he could not see it he walked past her.
"Come on then. Let's see your grandparents. Not sure if your parents are here though?"
Amara glanced at King who lept off her shoulder and began to grow in size until he was the size of a horse. Amara patted him on the back.
'Let's deal with this.'
Amara walked to the door and pushed it open and expected to be spotted by a maid or butler, not by dozen who was running in all directions. When they entered they all paused and gathered into two lines.
On the left were the maids and on the right were the butlers.
"Welcome back Lady Amara. Sir Souji. Sir King."
That last bit was because Amara asked for it. King was officially a Noble Member of the Gremory Clan. The prideful Abyssal raised his head high as he felt proud that they recognized his fearsome appearance.
Amara's face twitched as she did not expect such a big reaction. She clared her voice as she looked for a familiar face. She saw a blonde maid who was one of her grandfather's harem members. Most of the maids here were, but she only knew a few by name.
"Lucy, what is going on?"
Lucy was a blonde woman who had a body very much like Venelana. Zeoticus had a type and he kept to it. However unlike Venelana she was rather young at 54 years old.
"We are preparing for your aunt's birthday."
When Lucy got a look at what Amara was wearing she clapped. 6 maids went to Amara and began to drag her away.
"Wait, what is happening? King? Souji?"
Lucy smiled as she knew if Amara got her way she wold go in that armor.
"We got to get you out of that heavy armor, into a bath, get you combed and into something presentable. As for Sir King, he has a to get a bath, his teeth need cleaning, his claws need to be shined, his fur combed and he needs his special jewelry for tomorrow."
Souji laughed as he expected this, but before be left 4 butlers went toward him.
"Sir, you need to come as well."
"Shit."
Amara sighed as she was hoping to go in her armor. King went along as it was the honor of these mortals to look after the ruler of the Abyss. He even walked with his head high. Amara was led to her room which had been renovated since she had been in it.
Now came the annoying part as she knew these maids would not let her off.
