Tristan-flavored chocolate

ISABELLA

Tristan ran a knuckle down my cheek, looking at me with a fondness I had never seen on his face before.

"Alright. Nothing will change."

That was a lie and we both knew it.

Many things had changed the moment we decided to do what we had both wanted to do for ages, and the change was irreversible.

I wasn't sure I would have wanted a different outcome.

Actually, I knew what I wanted—one of those things I knew deep down I would never get. Because no matter what fantasy world I let my brain imagine.

We could pretend to go back to normal all we wanted, but we would both know deep down that there was nothing normal about our feelings for each other to begin with.

Employees aren't supposed to picture their bosses' naked bodies hovering over them, let alone sleep with them.

I noticed the chocolate on the nightstand and my stomach growled at the mere sight of it.
