Chapter 55

ISABELLA

The following morning.

Tristan left for work quite early and I had to hand it to him. How was he able to get out of bed after being up nearly all night?

We'd barely slept after I infiltrated his bed. My muscles were killing me for it right now and I couldn't move an inch without wincing. Mondays were hectic.

Monday mornings after a Sunday full of Tristan? My new favorite kind of exhaustion. I was basking in bliss until I remembered he said we would talk tonight.

The last time someone told me they needed to talk, I went from being a bride walking down the aisle to a nanny drooling over the hot single dad I work for. The outcome was bittersweet. I knew Tristan was nothing like the jerk who had strung me along for years but that didn't make me any less terrified.
