Sanchez and his cohorts

The Dark Lord's wine glass was almost empty. The drink in the glass magically refilled. The Dark Lord took a long sip and lowered the cup. His face, still gloomy, now had a scornful aroma to it.

He began a monologue, "Fools are everywhere at every time. They curse realities with their foolishness. Fools should deserve no place in this universe. Unfortunately, we can't do without fools. The universe made it that way."

He stared into the open, aimlessly.

"F**k that fool. Greedy animal and his cohorts put us in this situation. If they had put in more patience, they would have achieved their greedy aims."

"They desired to control destiny and land, but they went about achieving their goals with half-baked plans. Can an element stand apart in the big picture if it has the same colour as the picture's background?"

He stopped talking. Then, his breathing went from normal to hyper-ventilating within a minute. He threw the glass on the floor and yelled in frustration.

Three years ago, The Dark Lord was in charge of the plan to see that the spell-binders' tribe conquered the rest of humanity. While the Dark Lord was in charge of the plan, Sanchez had a say in it.

Sanchez's thought process about how the plan should be infuriated the Dark Lord. It was because Sanchez's plans were for the short term. He made no contingences if things didn't turn out well.

The Dark Lord perfectly estimated that it would take the tribe a year to become adept at attacking and conquering the rest of humanity. After the rest of humanity was conquered, they could begin the process of controlling destiny.

But, Sanchez, under the influence of his friends, couldn't wait for a year. He wanted the attack to take place as soon as possible. The Dark Lord tried to convince him why that was a bad idea. One of the Dark Lord's arguments was that even if they emerged victors at the end, it would take a lot more resources than required if they attacked after a year of planning.

Sanchez got enraged because the Dark Lord resisted his desire. So, he rallied the tribe's people and convinced them that the Dark Lord was a coward who undermined the prowess of the tribe. The people protested against the Dark Lord, threatening to remove him from the position of prime minister.

Two years earlier, the Dark Lord was installed as the prime minister by the tribe's people. It was possible because of Sanchez's support and influence.

The Dark Lord didn't want to lose the post of prime minister. So, he had to cave in and satisfy Sanchez's desires.

The end result was that the spell-binders' tribe lost 60% of its people when the war they started didn't favour them. The tribe's survivors had to vacate and lose their former resident island that was off the coast of Brazil.

Three years later, Sanchez had come to the Dark Lord's castle to repeat the same thing. But now, it was different. Most people of the tribe trusted the Dark Lord more than Sanchez. It was only a minor portion of the population that still paid attention to Sanchez.

There was only one city in Sirio Escuro. It was called Glory City. Glory City was seven hundred and fifty thousand square kilometres in size. Glory City housed roughly 90% of all spell-binders.

Glory City was like every other city in the world. It had districts, tall buildings, an extensive transportation system, etc.

Snachez owned a high-rise building. He used it as a mega-suite for himself. In his meeting room, he sat with five other people around a table. Five women and two men made up the five.

All six of them were in their sixties.

One of the women, named Bruna Mendez, asked Sanchez, "So he is evading defending his choice?"

Sanchez said, "I wish we could stop calling that creep 'he'."

Jade, another lady, cut in, "But it's a fact that men are scum. The Dark Lord, like all men, is acting like scum."

"Not now, Jade," Bruna said, "We are discussing serious issues."

One of the men named Duarte said to Sanchez, "He-"

"Don't address him as he!"Sanchez barked angrily.

Jade reasoned, "How can Duarte not refer to the Dark Lord as he when you refer to the Dark Lord as he?"

Jade's probing eyes glared at Sanchez as he looked aside. He said to her, "F**k you, Jade."

Jade replied, "Ew, you are not my type."

Bruna yelled, "Jade, stop! What the hell is wrong with you?! "

Jade wanted to speak, but Bruna chimed in, "Shut the hell up!" And Jade put her utterances on hold.

Duarte continued his intended question, "Did the Dark Lord mention anything about the plans of sending the chosen one into the Proibida realm to bring back puissant demon pets that would greatly revitalise our army?"

Sanchez replied, "He didn't. He 'politely' sent me out of his place."

Jade coughed, but no one paid attention to her.

Sanchez continued, "I think we should continue with our plans to terrorise the rest of humanity."

Bruna Mendez looked like she was in her thirties. She had almost a slim build and was dark-skinned. Her beautiful face possessed a diamond jaw line. From her head descended jet black hair that ended a bit below her scapula bones. On her chest were two C-cup apples, and her hips had lust-worthy curves.

She stood up from her seat and asked, "Does the Dark Lord know that some of our tribe's people terrorise other nations?"

"I don't think he knows," Jade replied.

Sanchez said assuringly, "The Dark Lord knows but is quiet on the matter."

Jade, on the contrary, was the skinniest among the three women in the meeting. She looked quite beautiful for her age. Her not so attractive round face had long hair that reached her butt. Her hips were slightly curved. She had arguable b-cup size apples on her chest and had a light skin tone.

Sanchez was lost in admiration of Bruna's full beauty as she stood in front of his point of view.

The third lady, Leonor, said, "I heard of two people under the guidance of the Dark Lord. Each of them has a handful of powerful demon pets." She continued, "Can we draw those people to our side?"

Duarte asked, "What is the average grade and the highest grade of the Demon pets?"

"The average grade is on the brink of reaching the sixth tier, and the highest is on the brink of reaching the seventh tier. The demon pets are all fire element creatures."

Jade said, "The demon pets are powerful, but my concern is that they are fire element. Our enemies would have learned how to deal with attacks from fire element demon pets." She sighed, "That's why we need powerful demon pets based in the other elements. If only that creep would hear us out."

"But we won't be attacking military facilities or any other important facilities, are we?" Leonor turned to Sanchez, who hadn't been with them for a while, mentally.

The others turned to Sanchez and saw his state. Bruna shook her head and sat down. Sanchez's gaze followed her to her seat.

Jade said with disgust, "What a loser." Then she slapped Sanchez across the face.

"F**k! F**k!" Sanchez cursed loudly.

"Who the f**k slapped me?"

"You lost focus, Sanchez," Duarte said. "You were shamelessly staring at Bruna while we were discussing the details of our next course of action, which was suggested by you."

"Was that why I was slapped? Who the f**k slapped me?"

Jade replied, "It was because of your douche bag attitude that put our whole tribe into this situation."

"Oh! Is it now because of my attitude? Let me remind you that it was pressure from all of you, especially you, Jade, that made me do what I did. If you weren't so impatient and greedy, your husband would have still been alive."

Jade's husband died when the tables turned on the spell-binders two years ago. He was among the tribe's soldiers that launched the attack on the rest of humanity.

"You're a jerk, Sanchez!"

"F**k you, Jade!"

"Says the shameless dude that wants to eat someone's wife. You can come eat my widowed honey pot for all I care."

Sanchez was so enraged that, without prompting, he casted a fireball at Jade. Duarte was quick to extinguish the attack with a wall of water he conjured and placed right before Jade.

The others controlled Sanchez and prevented further angry actions.

Sanchez was a fire element spell-binder.
