"I don't think my back's broken", he challenges, face so close to mine that one turn of a head could lead to something else. I quirk an eyebrow challenging back and watch as his gaze falls to my lips when they turn into a smile. He speaks up, gulping after a minute of silence.

"Can I kiss you?" I gulp nodding and hum out an agreement. He immediately places his lips on mine and I part them taking the lead.

He sighs into the kiss a little before slowly placing my back against the wall so he doesn't have to hold up all of my weight. He's a great kisser but it just doesn't fit right with me. Something about it is missing. When he pulls away, guilt fills me up looking at his smile.

I shouldn't have kissed him back if it felt wrong.

"We're never doing that again." He says laughing and I sigh out in relief. Guess I wasn't alone.

"Oh thank god you said it", I blow out air and chuckle. He takes me fully into his arms again and places me on the top of the shoe shelf.
