Entry #25: Photo

NICK'S POV

When Jasmine was gone, I was left alone with the awkward nerd.

"Where should we go?" he sheepishly asked.

"The usual."

Thereafter, we headed to our usual spot. He pulled out different pens from his pen case and tried every one of them on scratch paper to find the one similar to what Angel used.

"This would do," he remarked when he found the one.

He practiced the strokes on the scratch paper. "I'm scared. I can't mess this thing up because we only have one extra diary. What if I can't perfect it?"

"There's no extra bed for errors. You have to perfect it."

He bit his lower lip and insecurely nodded.

When he was done with the letters A and N, I commented, "You have to make it look exactly alike."

He stopped working and looked at me. I thought it was impossible, but for the first time, I saw irritation on his face.

"No pressure," I added.

He quietly went back to what he was doing. His strokes were careful and elaborate.
