I'M SORRY

They departed from the hotel the next morning to an apartment complex. They entered the elevator and stopped on the fifth floor. Room 508 was the flat registered under Kenshin Akazawa and his guardian’s name, a huge two-bedroom apartment with a shared bathroom.

Akage placed the key card on the door, and it unlocked, revealing the clean, spacious room. Kenshin felt strange in the new environment when he’d barely had time to completely accept his whole life would differ from here on.

Akage headed to the kitchen, satisfied the fridge was stocked up and prepared a meal while Kenshin went around the other space, enjoying the clean view the building gave.

Akage placed the last food on the table and went to find Kenshin, who nervously touched a sculpture.

“You haven’t eaten well, come and eat.” Akage invited him to the dining table, and he followed her.

“Itadakimasu.” Kenshin said and started eating.

“Do you like your new home?” She asked.

“Yes.”
