dark flames

in the celestial city were it was meant to be peaceful was now a place of terror as the two powerful angels battled.

when titans fight the only outcome was death and sorrow as one had to win.

but if anyone or anything was around then it would also suffer the consequences.

"w-what's happening.." Lorena muttered under her breath. just a small argument had turned into a brutal onslaught.

the celestial city had lost two powerful angels right now and it was a huge blow to them and the light. but the light calm nature never left even as two of his angels died.

"z-zena..." Athos barely crawled to where Zena was last as he checked round for any trace of her. but not even her ash was spared by the brutal attack from micheal.

"b-bring her back." Athos sorrowfully yelled at the light. but the latter just shook his head in return.

"a-am sorry Athos you know that I can't bring her back.."

"well at least try." Athos cried in pain.

it was one thing to lose a friend and another to lose the woman he loved for centuries. they had a plan to run away and be together but it seems fate just wouldn't let them have their way.

"you know once an angel dies the energy comes back to me and I can't recreate it back."

"no no no..." Athos was in shatters right now his heart was ripped out from him just when he got the chance to see his love again.

"t-this is all your fault... if you hadn't set that stupid law then Zena would still be here and none of this would've happened." Athos screamed getting up from the ground. he was a mess right now as his once beautiful appearance was now gone.

his flesh was partly charred black giving him a more insidious look. his snow white face was half peeled extending up his cheeks exposing his bare teeths. and giving him a creepy smile even though he wasn't smiling.

while his once white feathery wings were now in ruins burnt. leaving only the bones that made them look like bony bat wings.

if anyone would see Athos right now they wouldn't recognize him at all cause he looked like a complete monster.

"y-you.. am going to kill you."

"no! Athos stop." Lorena intervened as she knew Athos was on a sucide mission. there was no way he could possibly beat the light.

"hmm." Athos growled. "don't get in my way Lorena!" he said as he gripped her blade with his boney hands.

"Athos please stop." Lorena begged but there was no stopping Athos he had already made up his mind.

"bam!" athos punched Lorena in her guts but she held him firmly instead refusing to let go.

"i-if you're going to kill him then you'll have to kill me first."

"fine so be it." he stomped her feet then headbutted her also landing a kick to her ribs.

"argh!" she screamed even though she wore divine armour that weakened the attack a bit. but it still got through to her.

"i-i won't let you go." Lorena said with determination. she didn't fight back but only took the hits from athos.

"you left me no choice..." Athos said clenching his fist tightly and punched forward at Lorena's chest.

"ph- ph-ou-gh.. a-phh.." this punch packed a huge force that lifted Lorena's body upwards into the air. as she fell down with a crash blood drooling down her mouth she could barely even stand.

"that's enough!" the light said hitting Athos away. his calm mood disappeared as his dominant nature re-appeared.

"y-ess ye-s face me you coward..." he picked up Lorena's sword which had fallen a minute ago as he held in in his hands aiming straight for the light.

but as he got close a bright ball of light formed in the lights hands as it swirled fiercely with power.

the light used a huge amount of divine energy to create those balls but he was hesitant to use them.

"this is your last chance Athos stop now."

"never..."

"then you leave me no choice." he placed his hands together directed at Athos.

as the two swirling beams of light fused together creating a bigger blast shooting forward at Athos. there was no way he could possibly dodge the attack even if he tried to.

"argghhh!!" Athos screamed in pain as the blast hit him the sword fell down from his hands. and when the blast settled Athos condition worsened the more.

"y-you have disobeyed my laws and you must be punished." the light boldly said.

"your punishment is you shall be banished forever from the celestial city and you shall go down to the mortals which you despise and be like them." he spoke with authority that made the walls shake.

"haha." Athos smiled like a mad man he had lost everything so what else did he have to lose.

"am I not your favourite angel anymore?"

"y-you're an abomination.." the light stated turning it's back away from athos as he walked forward without looking back.

"you will never have divine energy again now go and never return." the light stretched his palm to Athos and another beam shot out dispersing Athos body into nothing.

.....

on a very snowy terrain with rocky plains and turbulent winds there stood a huge and terrifying mountain which was covered with darkness.

but if one looked closer he could see what looked like a dark castle on the highest point of the mountain as torches were lit in the castle.

inside the huge castle in the master room on a huge bed layed a batlike winged monster that was slowly awaking from it's slumber.

"Zena!" Athos shouted out loud. but the next moment images of what happened flooded his mind. as his head hurt in pain with tears streaming down his eyes.

"am alone forever." he bellowed. now he was just astray and was banished from his home and the people he thought were his family. just because he lost someone dear to him.

he slowly stood up from the bed as the weight of his misfortune fell on him. he noticed he was in the mountain named after him.

and he saw a little girl just few feets away from him shivering with fear.

"d-don't be scared little girl." he looked at this innocent girl with pity as he tried to comfort her.

"n-no please don't kill me demon." the girl refused clutching the wall more tightly.

athos didn't feel surprised at the little girl behaviour as anyone would be scared to death if they saw him. even he himself was scared of himself.

"I promise I won't hurt you.." he stretched his hands out.

his voice was a bit husky which frieghtenened the girl the more but she slowly crawled out to Athos.

"what's your name.." he asked.

"r-rose." she said softly with a bit of fear in her tone.

"ok rose.. my name is Athos where are your parents?"

"i-i there dead." she could barely talk as she cried her heart out. it seemed they were in the same situation alone and deserted with no where to go.

he carried the girl gently in his arms as he was about to head out the door. but he didn't need to cause the door flung open with two armed men walking in.

"give us the girl.." they said holding their weapons.

the room was a bit dark which made Athos look like a normal human in their eyes.

he looked at them with disgust as he thought this were the same mortals which the light loved so much than his angels.

anger burned deep in his heart something had risen in him.

"and what happens if i don't."

"then you both die." they said charging forward. but Athos just swiped his boney hands at them slicing their necks deep with blood gushing out.

"a-hh a-rg-gh demon." that was the last word that came out from their mouths before they dropped dead on the floor.

he saw rose was shaking but he needed to make her more stronger to protect herself.

"what's this." he could feel a foreign energy within him as he looked at his palm a dark flame enveloped his hands.

"rose." he dropped her down. "I can't always be there for you but i promise to give you enough power for you to kill anyone that get's in your way."

"do you accept?"

"i-i yes.." the little girl made up her mind not wanting to feel weak and alone ever again.

Athos smiled as he placed his hands on her head transferring the new energy into her. the girl stood up bold and confident as she felt the energy in her.

"rise my demon." Athos said he liked that word as it was a name that seemed to put fear into the hearts of many.

...

snow ended the story as kyle just sat there on the bed emotionless. he didn't know what to do or say as he heard about the story of the great angel Athos. who turned into the first great demon.

"I can't believe the light did that to his beloved angel." kyle said as he recalled the story snow told.

"of course angels aren't pure creatures like they claim to be." snow said coldly.

"rose..." he muttered when he heard the name rose there was only one person that came to his mind.

"lilith." she had already told him before she was a human but was turned by lucifer. and kyle couldn't help but think there was more to lilith's story.

"then that means the world perspective of demon's are wrong..."

"it was the so called light that cast Athos aside just because he loved?" he felt relieved to know the true story of how demons came to existence.

"all my life I thought we demon's were the bad ones..." he carefully got up from the bed and stared out the windows. his mind was still processing what he heard.

"then what happened to athos and rose?"

"well they went on to build the demon army and gain more power." snow replied.

"I know but what happened to them afterwards?" kyle wanted to knew if by any chance he could get the real information of lilith's past from snow.

"am sorry but that's all the data I have for now..." kyle felt upest a bit but he didn't beat himself to much and would rather ask lilith herself.

"am glad am a demon." he said walking out the door room.

"what are you planning to do?" snow asked. she had already read his mind but she still wanted to know if he was sure about what he decided.

"become a real demon..."

he slipped his way through the first floor.

but now the problem remaining was how he could slip past the securities and nurses in the reception area.

"aren't I meant to have a skill that can change my appearance to whatever I want."

"you do but it's locked for you for now..."

"hmmm. then how am I meant to get out." he slapped his forehead with his hands as it jerked backwards with force.

"shit i shouldn't have done that.." he regretted hitting his head as he hadn't yet recovered fully from the flood of information from athos life.

"they don't seem normal." he said looking at a group of around 14 men with 5 ladies who just walked in through the hospital's door.

as they walked by the hospital's security and nurses didn't even dare batt them an eye only bowing their heads until they walked past.

kyle observed their behaviour carefully and he quickly recognised them as one of the people he hated most.

"gangsters..." he muttered as he noticed the snake tattoo drawn on the right side of their face except for the women.

"am already sick of this place.." one of the gangster at the right side holding his stomach.

because kyle wasn't a human anymore he could hear their conversations with his advanced hearing.

"yeah this place reaks of dead people." another said with a scorn on his face.

"hey calm down we'll be out of hear soon we just have to find that boy.." the one in the middle spoke.

he was the only one which held the two most beautiful women of the five all by himself.

"of course boss..." they were walking past him heading up the stairs but his eyes never left the one who held the two females.

"he looks familiar." he thought. he couldn't help but think he had met someone who looked like him.

"hey what are you looking at." one with a razor cut hair and a deep scar on his face pushed kyle to the floor.

this made all the others stop as the one in the middle stared at him.

"ehhmm.. sorry! I lost my way.." kyle said pretending, nodding his head. he didn't want to garner the attention of the crowd as they were now staring at the scene.

"really.. then I think it would be best if we plug these two eyes of yours..."

"no! let him go Dimitri..." the boss spoke with a calm expression. as he stared at kyle for a while before walking upwards.

"your lucky this time boy.." the one known as Dimitri said imitating him slitting kyle's throat as he followed behind.

"what are you doing?"

"following them of course." he too followed the gangster's behind carefully tailing them up until the second floor.
