Apologizing

Kelvin did not move from his chair. His eyes were closed, but his brain continued to think of the information that Harris just disclosed, especially Oscar Juyat's return.

His body leaned back on the chair while his head was facing the ceiling. His brain continued to spin rapidly.

Until suddenly, he heard loud voices from downstairs. The noise woke him up from his thoughts. He opened his eyes in annoyance when he heard the unfamiliar voices.

Kelvin immediately got up from his chair, left the study and went downstairs to see what was going on.

.....

Luliyah had just finished helping Mrs Binta to wash the dishes and clear the table after breakfast. It became her routine to assist Mrs Binta in the kitchen after they finished eating.

After washing the dishes, she felt she had nothing to do. She didn't need to go to the flower garden because Kelvin had ordered two of the servants to water the flower garden. In the end, she decided to relax in the living room while waiting for Kelvin to finish discussing official matters with Harris.

She sat on the sofa and turned on the television. But, her eyes was not fixed on the television. Her attention was focused on the book she was holding. She had it in mind to finish reading the book in her spare time.

When she was engrossed in reading the book, a noise was heard from outside.

"Luliyah, This is Dad. Let father in." Martins's voice came from the front door of the house. His shout was followed by a loud banging on the door.

The voices of other people was heard, trying to block Martins from entering the house. But Martins continued to shout and bang on the door. He tried to force his way inside to meet Kelvin.

The man wanted to meet Kelvin, not Luliyah...

Luliyah was surprised when she heard her father's voice. She immediately got up and dropped her book on the sofa. Mrs Binta also rushed to the front door, wiping her wet hands. She rushed out because she heard voices.

However, the two of them immediately stopped when they saw Kelvin descending from the second floor. As he walked downstairs, Kelvin told one of his bodyguards to open the door and let Martins in. He came down and approached Luliyah, while waiting for the arrival of the man that was creating a scene outside his house.

Martins entered into the house whilst dragging Natali. His eyes were fixed on Kelvin. He did not pay attention to Luliyah who was standing next to Kelvin. Martins just looked at Kelvin.

"Stop right there." Kelvin said coldly as Martins continued to move closer to him. He glared at the two people who entered his house. He did not want them to be too close to him and Luliyah.

"Kelvin, please forgive my stupid daughter." Martins said as dragged Natali tightly.

Kelvin snorted when he saw the two people. He knew why Martins came to his house. The last few days, the man came to his office and insisted on seeing him. It was because, Kelvin refused to collaborate with his company on an upcoming project. Kelvin was never willing to meet him and Martins always went home disappointed.

Now, it seems that the man found another way to meet him. The man came to his house because Kelvin refused to see him at the office. He even brought his cunning daughter to apologize.

Martins pushed Natali's body, told her to kneel on the floor and apologize to Kelvin. Meanwhile, the only person Natali saw was Luliyah. Natali saw her standing next to Kelvin and glared at her sharply. Her gaze was filled with hatred. As if Luliyah was the cause of her problems.

Luliyah saw the look on Natali's face. She could also see Natali's hand was still red from the hot water Kelvin poured on her. But she had no intention of helping Natali. She was not stupid to help people who wronged her.

All of this was Natali's fault. She was the one who set her up with Kelvin.

As a grown woman, Natali must take responsibility for her actions. Now, she had to enclose what she had done.

"Kelvin, I just found out what really happened. I brought my stupid daughter to apologize to you. It's up to you on how you want to punish her, but please forgive her." Martins said, pleading. He was desperate, not because he felt guilty for his daughter's actions, but because Kelvin had cut all business relations with his company.

Just as he didn't care about Luliyah, he didn't care about Natali either. Previously, Natali was still useful to him. Natali was supposed to be engaged to a member of the Williams family. Natali and Kelvin's engagement could make the Parker Family prosperous.

Natali didn't just mess up the engagement which could bring the Parker Family into the most powerful family in the country. The girl also made Kelvin angry to the extent that the Williams Group no longer wanted to cooperate with the Parker Company.

His daughter was really stupid.

Kelvin just raised his eyebrows while looking at the two people in front of him. Not a single word came out of his mouth. He wanted to see what Martins and Natali wanted to do.

"Kelvin, I'm sorry..." Natali said softly. She tried to make her voice sound pitiful so that Kelvin would pity her. But her eyes was still filled with hatred for Luliyah. She wasn't aware that Kelvin could see of all that.

As long as she could pretend to be sorry, no man would have the heart to do anything to her. She believed this method would work in front of Kelvin. Little did she know that Kelvin could see her. "Sorry for what?" Tell me, what is wrong with you." He asked in a cold voice. He stared straight at Natali, completely unfazed by Natali's pleading.

Luliyah who witnessed it all could only shake her head. Now, she could see Natali's acting clearly. She cursed herself within for being so stupid and trusting Natali. How stupid she was that she couldn't see how fake Natali was.

Kelvin's gaze made Natali feel sweaty. Natali thought that Kelvin would really kill her this time.

Kelvin was the most handsome and wealthiest person in town. Even though he was blind, there were still many women who lined up to become his lovers. Natali was really lucky to be engaged to a man like him. But she wasn't comfortable with the fact that he was a disabled man who couldn't see. Natali still did not appreciate her luck and betrayed Kelvin.

She felt the hair on the body rise up. Her mouth opened and closed again, unable to find the right words to answer the man in front of her.
