ROMAN
When my eyes fell on her, a smirk made its way onto my face when I scanned her body.
She wore the dress.
To say she looked beautiful would be an understatement. I knew she felt someone's gaze on her face the way she looked around and shifted herself on the stool she was sitting on, crossing her leg over the other which only put her bare leg on display for the man in front of her to see.
And then she laughed, her head fell back and the way her cheeks turned a light shade of pink showed she was blushing.
As expected, heads turned to look at the source of the beautiful laughter that fell from her lips. She was beautiful without even trying and that's what made her stand out in the crowd.
Unlike the women who were desperately trying to get my attention by throwing themselves over me, licking their lips and batting their fake eyelashes.
My jaw clenched tightly and my grip on the glass of scotch in my hand tightened dangerously when I saw him leaning in towards her with a mischievous smile but what surprised me more was when she leaned towards him as well.
"Who's that guy?" Enzo spoke from beside me but I didn't bother answering him because I already knew he was looking at the same man I was glaring at.
I stood up abruptly, making heads snap in my direction as I downed my drink in one go and made my way over to the two.
Something inside me burned when I saw their lips only an inch apart and I quickly grabbed hold of her wrist and yanked her back so she landed onto my chest.
I saw the surprise and shock on her face when she looked up into my eyes and tried to get out of my grip, but there was no way I was going to let her go so easily.
"What the hell Roman." She said and I looked at her briefly, my eyes taking in her beautiful face before I replaced all warmth with my usual cold mask.
Although I couldn't help my hand raising to her face and stroking her cheek lightly and tucking her hair behind her ear, noticing how her cheeks changed to a pink colour and how she leaned into my touch as if on instinct.
My grip on her loosened and she immediately tried to move away from me but I pulled her close myself and wrapped an arm around her waist and we both faced the man in front of us.
His eyes moved between the both of us before he grinned mischievously.
"Are you going on a date with Roman Angelo?" He asked her grinning and a small frown took over my face.
She's going on a date? With who? When?
"What? No!" She said pushing me away but I hissed at her and gripped her tighter.
"Stay." I told her firmly and heard her huff in annoyance.
"I'm going with Dean Logan. You might know his father." She said, making me frown ever so slightly.
Why is she going out with him?
"Right, that English boy. Good kid." He said but then frowned. "Then why are you two-..."
"I work under him." She suddenly spoke and I saw his eyes widen a fraction and she gasped, realising what she had just said.
I couldn't help the smirk that made its way on my face and tried very hard to stop the grin from breaking out.
Wouldn't I like that?
She blushed furiously and fumbled with her next words.
"I-I meant I work for him, I'm doing his house." She corrected and he got up from his seat, walking over to me and held his hand out to me.
"Lawrence Ridge." He said and I looked at his hand a moment before grasping it firmly. Firm enough to let him know to keep his eyes off the woman next to me. He understood my silent threat the way a smirk broke out on his face.
"Roman Angelo." I replied coldly when Heather suddenly scrambled out of my grip and stood a good distance away from me. I followed her gaze and saw her brother heading over and understood what she was trying to do.
"Finally you're back. Where were you?" Lawrence asked Alex who shook his head.
"Emergency at the office." He said and looked between me and Heather, his jaw clenching in the process as he held his hand out to me.
"Good to see you again." He regarded me and I simply nodded in response and shook his hand.
I felt like dragging Heather away from here and running my hands over her smooth skin once again. So that's exactly what I did.
"I'd like to discuss a few things regarding the house with you." I made the lamest excuse to get her alone. I caught her surprise before she masked it and looked at her brother for permission who only nodded in response after a few moments.
"Alright." She said and I nodded, gesturing to follow me.
As if on instinct, my hand went to settle on her lower back as I lead her through the large hall to the other end to the separate room.
I started drawing patterns on her back, seeing how she relaxed after I did made my lips twitch slightly as we reached the door and I gave the guards a nod before they opened it for us and we walked into the dark room.
The lights flickered on automatically as she walked in further, my hand falling from her back as she made herself comfortable on the couch at a side.
I shoved my hands my hands in my pockets, fisting them before I did something I'd probably regret, which was getting harder by each passing second knowing we were alone in the room with no one to disturb us, that is until her soft voice drew me out of my thoughts.
"What did you want to discuss Mr. Angelo?" She asked me so innocently as if we didn't have our tongues down each other's throats less than 24 hours ago.
The thought itself made heat rush down to my groin and I cleared my throat after I realised what she called me.
"I already told you to call me by my name." I told her and she nodded slowly.
"That wouldn't be very professional, Mr. Angelo." She said, stressing on my last name as if she wanted nothing to do with me.
What is she trying to prove?
A small chuckle escaped my lips as I stared into her beautiful ocean blue eyes.
"And what in your opinion is 'being professional′ is?" I asked walking closer to her and cocked my head to a side to study her expressions.
"I work for you, Mr. Angelo. That's all. And I'd like to keep it that way." She said, stressing on my name again as if she was trying to tell me our relationship with each other.
"I'm aware." I stated matter-of-factly and she nodded once but then frowned.
"What did you want to discuss again?" She asked me and I sighed.
"That's the thing, I forgot." I said honestly and she pursed her lips, standing up from her seat.
"Then I'll leave if we're done here." She said and was about to walk away but I stopped her before she could take a step forward.
"So I'm assuming we pretend nothing happened, correct?" I asked her and she stopped in her tracks, her gaze flicking to mine briefly before she looked away and cleared her throat, standing straighter.
"Pardon?" She asked me and I almost laughed at her ignorance.
Almost.
I moved towards her, making her step backward until her back hit the wall and I was towering her.
"Drop the innocent act Ms. Elias." I said and she gulped.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about." She said and I smirked at her.
"I know for a fact you weren't that intoxicated to lose your memory of last night, and the way you blush proves so." I said and as if on cue, her face turned pink.
I moved a step closer to her, blocking any way out and my hands settled on either side of her head, caging her in, just like I wanted.
"So you're saying you don't remember anything?" I asked her and she nodded slowly after thinking a moment.
"Well then how about I remind you what exactly happened? Would you like that?" I whispered in her ear huskily, making her breath hitch as I moved away slightly from her, but close enough that our lips were a breath away.
"Would you like that, Heather?" I said, feeling the way her name rolled off my tongue and leaned close to her, ghosting my lips over her neck and breathing in her scent.
Roses.
"Looks like you got my rose." I said smirking and placed a small kiss on her neck, making her suck in a sharp breath.
"You look beautiful baby." I whispered and placed another kiss on her neck, my hand moving down and trailing down her cheek, her neck and then her arm.
"So beautiful. So delicate." I whispered, my lips trailing all the way to her collarbone as my hand settled on her waist and squeezed it lightly as the other one grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her face closer to mine so our lips were almost touching.
"Never, turn away from me." I told her and saw her eyes flutter shut as a grin took over my face, knowing she'd given in to me.
I pressed my lips to hers ever so slightly, barely touching them but enough for sparks to jolt me awake.
And just like that, I pressed my body to hers and pressed my lips to hers more firmly, moving them slowly as her hands settled on my waist and clutched my coat jacket tightly.
Our lips started moving against each other and the feel of it was so fucking addicting I could do it forever. I swiped my tongue over her lip so she'd open her mouth to give me more access to her, to let me taste her.
And she did just that, my tongue slipping into her mouth easily as I pulled her closer and kissed her fully, exploring her mouth and fully tasting her, hinting the drinks she'd downed a while ago while her rosy scent engulfed me and drove me insane.
I heard her moan slightly when I nibbled on her lower lip, the sound making me lose control as I pushed her into the wall and grabbed her bare leg, circling it around my hip and holding her thigh firmly.
I pulled away to give her a much needed breather and moved to her beautiful neck, leaving wet kisses everywhere I could access and biting down on her shoulder slightly, making sure I wouldn't leave a mark.
Yet.
"Roman.." She moaned against my mouth as I brought my lips backs her soft plump ones and smirked.
"Just like that baby, say my name just like that." I whispered and kissed her again, more furiously this time, more hungrily like I couldn't get enough of her and truth is, I couldn't.
Just when I was about to push her further, a knock on the door snapped us out of our daze as she placed a hand on my chest and pushed me back, panting hard.
"Shit. This... This wasn't supposed to happen." She told herself and I chuckled darkly.
"Oh, but it did princess." I said and moved closer to her, grabbing her waist and placing a peck on her lips.
The knocks got more frantic and I grunted in annoyance, moving to the door and opening it harshly.
"What?" I snapped at the guard behind who immediately paled and gulped.
"Capo, Mr. Elias is asking for his sister." He said and looked behind me. I followed his gaze and saw Heather fixing her hair.
"Tell him she's coming in a minute." I told him and shut the door. I walked over to Heather and eyed her once again, trying my best not to do anything else.
Her eyes met mine briefly before they flicked to my lips and she frowned. But before I could ask her what was wrong, she came forward and swiped her thumb across my lip, probably wiping away the lipstick that must've smudged my lips from hers.
Her eyes met mine and I smirked, grabbing her hand and pulling her slide to me, I placed a lingering kiss on her lips and took her outside.
She immediately got free of my grip and walked over to her brother and his friend as I followed her closely.
"All discussed?" Her brother asked her eyeing us both and she nodded a bit too enthusiastically.
"Done." She said and looked at me briefly before averting her gaze. My gaze briefly flicked to Lawrence who was looking at us with a grin.
I ignored his knowing look and looked around until my eyes fell on Enzo who was smirking at me with an amused face.
He knows too. Better now than later. At least now they know she's mine.
And it's only a matter of time before that Logan boy knows it too.
I'll make sure of it.
