"He did what?" Jane asked me wide eyed and everyone in the hallway looked over at us.
"Hush Jane!" I reprimanded her and she smiled sheepishly as I zipped my bag properly and walked with her to the cafeteria.
"No but like, seriously? And in front of everyone?" She asked me quietly and I nodded.
"Yeah. Dude has no shame." I said and sighed deeply.
"Where's Matt?" I asked her as we sat on our table with our lunch.
"He has class. But like... why would he do that?" She asked me but I shrugged.
"Maybe he's a fan of PDA." I said and Jane chuckled.
"Yeah right." She said and ate her sandwich while I munched on my own.
"Although... did you really mind? Like I get that you were shocked... but we're you appalled?" She asked me and I froze, my sandwich halfway to my mouth as I registered her words.
Did I like it?
"Did you like it?" A husky voice spoke in my ear and I yelped, almost dropping my sandwich as I shot out of my seat and turned around, only to freeze in place.
No fucking way he heard that.
"R-Roman? What are you doing here?" I asked the devilishly handsome guy standing in front of me, sporting a small smirk and curious eyes.
"Work." He replied.
As if that explains anything.
I nodded in response and from the corner of my eye I saw the confused expressions of the students who were equally surprised as me to see him here.
And if things couldn't get any worse, I heard a high pitched squeal of nine other than Satan. Actually that's just an insult to Satan.
Anyways...
"Mr. Angelo! I knew I'd find you here!" Olivia came up to us in her skimpy outfit, a short blue dress that barely covered her body and high heels with a caked face.
Now to deal with this... thing.
"Hello to you too Olivia." I gave her a tight lipped smile and she gave me a very fake one in return. Definitely faker than her fake implants.
"Oh didn't see you there Heather you kind of merge into the background." She said with an uninterested look on her face and I rolled my eyes while she turned to Roman.
"What brings you here Mr. Angelo? Is there any way I can help you? I'm sure you must be lost so you bumped into this useless thing here, but don't worry, I'll show you the way to where ever you want to go." She said batting her eyelashes at him and licking her lips.
Pathetic.
But Roman didn't even spare her a glance and instead kept his eyes on me as I watched the whole exchange with interest.
Let's see what he says to her.
I looked back at Roman and quirked my brow as him questioningly as I raise my sandwich to my mouth and took a bite, licking my lips in the process to remove the breadcrumbs.
His eyes followed my action and his gaze darkened as it came back to my eyes as he shoved his hands into his black slacks,
walking closer to me slowly, calculating his steps.
When he was only a few inches away from me did he stop and briefly eyed the sandwich in my hand that was halfway to my mouth,
starting to lean down towards me.
I could smell his intoxicating cologne as he came closer and saw his features clearly, his beautiful emerald green eyes, perfect lips, high cheekbones and sharp jawline.
I heard the gasps of the students as he continued to lower his head, maintaining eye contact with me, when my breath hitched as he approached my lips but he only took a bite of my sandwich and slowly pulled away a few inches, leaving me blushing furiously and extremely flustered.
"Oh. My. God." I heard Jane's breathless voice from behind me and I couldn't agree more. I quickly turned around and sat back down on my seat and faced a gaping Jane who was looking at my face intently and ignored Roman, who was standing right behind me.
Holy shit.
"What was that?" Jane mouthed to me and I shook my head and popped a fry into my mouth, knowing full well who stood behind me.
Just then the chair beside me was pulled back with a screeching sound that echoed in the now silent cafeteria. I didn't dare look to my side because I knew who sat there the way I was now inhaling a minty and pine scent that made me dizzy.
I discreetly glanced at him and saw him already staring at me, but I knew I was caught trying to get a glimpse of him the way his face formed a smirk, so I sighed and faced him fully.
"What do you want now Mr. Angelo?" I asked him he quirked his eyebrow at me while Olivia yapped nonsense behind us.
Not that we cared.
"I'm hungry." He replied lazily and I gave him an 'oh really?' look.
"Then go eat something." I told him.
"Would you like me to get you something Mr. Angelo?" Olivia asked him obviously frustrated and I rolled my eyes.
"Do you not understand that he isn't interested Olive oil?" I told her and she huffed.
"It's Olivia sweetheart and I'm sure he can answer for himself." She said a little too sweetly and I scoffed, looking at Roman.
"Would you like Olivia to get you something to eat Mr. Angelo so you can leave?" I asked him sweetly and he sat straighter, turning to face me with amusement dancing in his eyes.
"Call me by my name." He said huskily and I huffed in frustration.
"That won't be very professional Mr. Angelo, now would it?" I asked him innocently and he scoffed.
"We weren't really professional last night we're we Ms. Elias? Or should I say Heather?" He said and everyone suddenly stopped what they were doing and gave me incredulous looks full of surprise and shock.
He did not just do that.
I clenched my fists tightly wanting to remove that smug face off of him.
"What the hell do you want, Roman?" I gritted out, trying to save any last dignity I had left after he oh so clearly announced that we were together last night and probably at it too.
Asshole.
"I told you. I'm hungry." He replied lazily.
"Why does that concern me?" I asked him trying to remain calm but he was making it very hard to do so at the moment.
"Because I want you." He replied simply and mouth almost fell open. Almost.
"What the fu-.." I stopped myself and took a deep breath.
"I'd like you to leave." I said not looking at him but I heard him sigh.
"I meant I wanted the sandwich you were eating." He said and my head snapped to him to see his small smirk and shoved my sandwich towards him. He eyed it a moment before taking a bite of it from my hand.
"Do you not have hands?" I asked him and he shrugged.
"I'm tired." He said and I rolled my eyes as he ate the sandwich from my hand then pointed to the fries and I gave him some.
He reached across the table and grabbed my soda and dipped it from my straw while I looked at him shocked, but he only raised an eyebrow at me.
"Mr. Angelo, I would be more than happy to get lunch for you. You really don't have to waste your time here with this bitch." Olivia said and I slammed my hand on the table, fed up of everything.
Roman looked at me surprised and so did everyone else.
"God can you be any more infuriating? I already have to deal with one asshole and I really can't with another, so kindly leave before I do something I won't regret." I told her as sweetly as I could an saw her eye twitch before she looked around and left stomping her feet.
"Good riddance." Jane said and I just shook my head, throwing a sharp glare Roman's way who didn't seem affected by anything.
"Ugh. I'm leaving I have class." I said as I got up from table and Jane nodded, sipping on her soda. I glanced at Roman briefly and saw him getting up as well.
"When's your date with Dean?" Jane suddenly asked me and I turned to face her.
"This Saturday." I said and she nodded once again, waving goodbye to me.
"I'll pick you up later." I heard Roman say and looked at him to see his clenched jaw and furious gaze as I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Why?" I asked him.
"My house, you're suppose to come home today, remember?" He said and my eyes widened a fraction when people turned around to look at me.
Great. Just great.
"Fine." I forced a fake smile to my face and saw his smug grin.
Bastard knows what he just said.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have classes to attend, Roman." I said.
"See you later, Heather." He said when I turned around and ignored him as I made my way to class, a grin threatening to form on my face.
Idiot.
