20.The Truth Of What Happened

-Happy Harbor, 5:38PM/Cave-

Sean and his newfound badass companion reappear in the middle of the cave as Sean looks around seeing that..no one is actually here

"Huh..okay even this is weird where the hell is everyone?"

And right on cue the zeta tube ring out as Sean looks at it, a tried Kid Flash is the first to come out as he instantly falls to the ground exhausted

K.F:Ow..I can't feel my legs..

A few seconds later Artemis, M'gann, Superboy, Aqualad, and the others all come out

Artemis:It's been 4 hours and we still haven't found him! How hard is it to find one guy?

Aqualad:We will continue our search tomorrow for now we all need some rest

M'gann:I really hope we can find Sean again--

"Don't bother M'gann im standing right here"

Everyone's eyes quickly dart over to Sean who is standing next to his winged wolf as K.F is the first to speak up

K.F:Aw come on seriously!!

"Suprise! Yay you found me!"

Sean is immediately tackled to the ground by three people..but he already knows who those three people are

As Karen, Kara and Donna start to ask him all sorts of questions by asking if he's okay or is he hurt

"As much as I love a good hug can you please get off your gonna break something that need that doesn't need to be broken"

They all quickly get off as Sean a bit in pain as he rolls over to his left

"Aww fuck..I can't feel my..my.."

There's a whine as the winged wolf walks over to his new friend and licks his face

"I'm good..im good just gimme a sec..I can't feel my dick..owwwwwww"

A few minutes pass by as he finally gets up and off the ground and faces his team

"So what did I miss?"

Aqualad:As much as we would all like to tell you I must ask where did you go?

"Oh..I went Olympus..that's why I have this guy here..I think im gonna call him, Winter"

The winged wolf happily barks at his new name as Sean scratches his head making his tail wag

K.F:Pfft seriously? What kind of---

Winter immediately growls at him as Wally hides behind Superboy as Winter turns his attention to Karen he tilts his head and walks over to her and sniffs her

Powergirl:He isn't going to bite me right?..

"No that I know of.."

Powergirl holds out her hand as Winter sniffs it and licks it

"Guess he likes you..but okay you guys wanna know what happened"

Artemis:Well duh!

Artemis speaks out as Sean ignores her and tells his teammates as he takes a deep breath knowing he has to tell them why he had to leave on their first mission as his gaze meets Karen and Donna's they're the only people along with Diana who actually know what went down that day..

"Arrow Girl wasn't here when it happened but do you all remember the day I left halfway during mission?"

K.F:Well of course we do you left us there and after we did--

"I don't need an entire explanation dumbass it's a simple 'yes' or 'no' question"

M'gann:Yes we remember but what does that have to do with it?

"When I left I felt like Karen was in danger during that time I just felt a connection to her..like we were drawn to each other, I honestly went off out of instinct and landed on Themyscira.."

Supergirl:That's why Wonder Woman vouched for you..you did something over there didn't you, Sean?

Sean doesn't say anything as he remembers everything that happened that day..

"I did do something that day..I did something even I thought could never do but I had to put an end to it..that day I went to Themyscira, I killed Ares..the God of War"

The entire room was instantly filled with silence as Sean stood in the center of the room..he didn't feel guilty for what he did Ares. He definitely did deserve what he got that was without question..he had to keep telling them

"I know I know it was the wrong thing to do..but I would do it again in a damn heartbeat if it meant I had to save the world from going Hell, I could honestly care less what you all think of me after this but the only reason im telling you this is because I want to..not because someone forced me to do it. I'm not a hero..but im not a villain either, if I have to kill again bad guy just to make sure that we can all live another day..make no mistake I will fucking do it"

Sean signals Winter to follow him as the two walk out and head somewhere else as Supergirl is the first to speak up

Supergirl:He killed someone..Sean..actually killed someone  *turns to Karen and Donna* why didn't you stop him?

Troia:And what would you have us do Kara? The man is a walking powerhouse even at our peak, he could kill everyone in this entire room and even if we did somehow manage to do something he'd break out. You didn't see what we saw..Ares was going to kill us and everyone that stood in his way

M'gann:But to go that far..

Powergirl:You guys may not see it yet but he did what he had to do..and I actually agree with him, and if you guys don't see it then..you clearly don't know him like we do..

In a blur Karen disappears from the team as Donna does the same thing leaving them all to wonder..did Sean have good intentions? Or was it something much more sinister than this..

Superboy:That Ares guy got what he deserved

K.F:Dude! You don't mean that!

Superboy:Yeah I do, Karen is right..and even if he didn't kill Ares what would we do? We couldn't even take down Mr Twister..Sean did, what took the Justice League hours to beat Amazo. Sean did it in minutes, even those two guys he took on by himself..

M'gann tries to reach to Superboy but he refuses as he walks out seeing the bigger picture..sometimes you need to get your hands dirty to do the right thing, and Sean was one of those people

Artemis:We need to tell someone in the League about this

Supergirl:No!!

Supergirl quickly replies as she quickly covers her mouth

Aqualad:Supergirl I know you care about Sean we all do..but what he did was something none of us would do

Supergirl:But you heard what Sean said Kaldur, he's not going to let that stop him..we ALL know that. Powergirl, Troia and even Superboy are on his side..and I just..*groans in frustration* I-I don't know what to do anymore..I need some air..
