Chapter 89 - Jack Spheer's Party

"Lena, this is incredible!" Kara says in awe, as they all step onto Lena's private jet.

"Thank you darling." Lena replies, smiling.

"This is soooo cool aunt Lena." Ruby says, in awe, just like Kara.

Lena chuckles.

"It's just a plane. It's nothing special." Lena says, brushing off the comments.

Sam approaches Lena and places a hand on her shoulder.

"Lena, I think you forget that apart from you and I, no one else here has actually been on a private jet before." Sam says.

"Right......." Lena nods.

"Momma? Can I sit with you?" Alura asks Lena, sweetly.

"Of course you can, darling." Lena smiles.

The ladies then all get into their seats, with Lena and Alura sitting next to one another, on two single seats. Kara is then sat facing Lena and Alura, while Sam and Ruby are on two seats across the aisle from Lena and Alura. The plane then begins moving, a few moments after they have all taken their seats, and buckled in.

"This is weird." Kara says, not used to going backwards on a plane.

"Oh, we can swap if you want?" Lena suggests.

"No, it's fine. I just have never experienced flying backwards before.... Well.... not on a plane." Kara replies.

"Right...." Lena nods, a small smile appearing on her face.

The ladies then all chat, as the plane taxis to the runaway. However, just as the plane is about to take off, Lena looks over at her daughter and sees that she has a nervous look on her face.

"Are you alright, darling?" Lena asks, Alura softly.

Alura looks at Lena, scared.

"Oh, darling." Lena says, cupping one of Alura's cheeks, "It's okay. Everything is going to be fine. I promise."

"Shoot.... I forgot.... Alura hasn't ever been on a plane before." Kara explains.

Lena nods her head at Kara, and then turns her attention to her daughter once more. Kara hates that Alura is scared, and then to top it off she hates that she can't physically reach over to comfort Alura. Of course Kara could get out of her seat and go over to Alura, because the plane taking off won't affect her Kryptonian body, but by doing that she would totally give away her secret identity to Ruby. So, Kara has to just sit there, and hope that Lena can make things better for their daughter.

"Alura, everything is going to be okay." Lena says, attempting to comfort the young girl.

The plane then begins to move, and pick up speed.

"Momma, I don't like this." Alura says, scared, with tears in her eyes.

Lena grabs Alura's hand and gives it a loving squeeze.

"It's okay. I've got you. I've got you." Lena says.

The plane then continues on down the runway and eventually takes off, Alura lets out a little scared yelp as the plane lifts off the ground, her stomach clearly doing a bit of a flip.

"Darling, it's okay. I'm here." Lena says, stroking one of Alura's arms with her free hand.

Alura continues to be scared for a few more minutes, with Lena continuing to comfort her, and Kara watching on, desperately wanting to get out of her seat, but eventually the plane levels out, and Alura is more at ease.

"There we go. The plane is levelling out now." Lena says, shooting her daughter a caring smile.

A few moments later, the seatbelt sign turns off, and Kara then quickly gets out of her seat and moves in front of Alura.

"Hey, it's okay baby. Everything is fine now. See?" Kara says, placing both hands on Alura's knees.

Alura looks at her two mommies who are comforting her, and offers them a small smile, calming down now.

From there the five women enjoy the very quick flight across the country to Metropolis. During the flight they all chat away, enjoying one another's company. Alura, with the encouragement of Ruby, even got brave enough to look out of the plane's windows, and once she did that, she was in complete awe, amazed looking at the clouds and ground below. An hour then goes by, and the ladies land in Metropolis, with Alura being a lot more comfortable on the landing, than on the take-off, much to both her mothers' relief.

Lena, Kara, Sam, Alura and Ruby have now all arrived at the hotel which Jess booked for them, at Lena's request. The group are staying in a large presidential suite, with several bedrooms, more than enough to sleep 15+ people, let alone the 5, and soon to be 6, of them.

"WOW!!!" Alura says, as she runs into the presidential suite, yet again amazed by what she is seeing.

Lena smirks at Alura's awe. A part of Lena wishes she still had that childlike awe, experiencing new things for the first time, that just completely amaze her. But Lena is pretty happy with where her life is currently, so she's willing to let that awe go, it's a worthwhile sacrifice for her current life.

"This is amazing aunt Lena!" Ruby says, looking around the presidential suite.

Lena opens her mouth to say something, but she is then interrupted by her girlfriend, who has run off to look around too, just like the two kids. "OH RAO!! There is a piano in here!!" Kara calls out.

Ruby and Alura look at one another, and then go running in the direction of where Kara's voice was coming from. Once the two girls have gone, Lena turns to look at Sam.

"Kids, right?" Lena smirks.

Sam chuckles lightly, and then her lips flinch a bit.

"You want to run around and have a look too, don't you?" Lena says.

"Noooooooooooooo...." Sam lies, poorly.

Lena laughs.

"Go on." Lena smiles.

"Thanks." Sam smiles back, dropping her bags, and then going running off in the direction of the room where Kara, Alura and Ruby are.

*******************

It is now about 15 minutes later, and Kara has just returned from picking Alex up, and flying her to their hotel room. In the few minutes that Kara made her flight across the country and back, everyone focused on getting ready. Sam and Ruby got ready together, in the room that Sam has claimed as her own. Alura did want to get ready with Ruby, but Ruby was only getting ready with Sam to distract the girl, so she didn't notice Kara leaving to go and get Alex. So, this left Lena with taking charge of getting Alura ready, which was honestly pretty easy, as the five-year-old was very excited to put on her suit again, not like some other children who refuse to wear certain clothes.

"I'm back." Kara smiles, as she walks into the bedroom that she and Lena will be using tonight. Lena is just finishing putting on her own navy three-piece suit, which matches Alura's. Meanwhile, Alura is sitting on the bed, with a big smile on her face as she looks at her momma. "Wow."
