"I'll be right back," I told Sara as I stood up from her bedside, slightly hampered by the annoying boot on my foot. It was forcing me to hobble around, and I could only imagine how ridiculous I looked in it.

"Where are you going?" Sara asked with a frown on her face. "I thought we were going to call Antonio?"

I chose to ignore the fact that she had once again called the man Antonio and answered her question. "I'm going to call Marino in the hallway."

Sara pouted at me, her eyes narrowed in irritation. "Why can't you do it in here?"

"You should be resting," I told Sara firmly. "I'll tell you everything that he says."

If he had, there were a few other calls I would have to make that Sara definitely didn't need to hear.
