Chapter 166 : Alone with Antonio

"Excuse me, what are you doing?" I demanded, making sure that Antonio was looking at me and not back at his distressed wife. I felt angry for her and wanted to slap him to get him to focus, but I kept my hands at my sides.

"What do you mean?" he asked, sounding truly confused and innocent.

I narrowed my eyes at him. His eyes were big and locked on mine now. The feeling behind his eyes was starting to make me a bit uncomfortable.

"Stop antagonizing your wife. She’s obviously upset and you two clearly have issues that you need to work out. This is supposed to be a nice dinner party, this isn’t your chance to work that out. It’s not helping for you to continue to be rude to her."

Antonio raised up his hands in defense and the confusion on his face grew.

"She was the one being rude and antagonizing to me," he whined, defensively.

I rolled my eyes.
