I listened to Jaxon's heartbeat as I lay on his chest, a soft smile spreading across my face as we both caught our breath. I always loved the moments right after we'd just made love, I never felt closer to him than I did in those moments. I turned my head and looked up at him, a frown replacing my smile as I noticed his thousand-yard stare.
