Despite sleeping more hours than usual, I felt tired and uncomfortable. I felt worn out and like the worries from last night were still weighing me down. I wasn’t sure I was ready to talk to a journalist and present myself publicly, but I didn’t have much choice.
I did my best with my makeup and took the time to blowdry my hair. For the first time Jaxon was ready to leave before me. He smiled when he saw me and handed me a to-go cup of coffee.
"How are you feeling?" His voice was cheery and more energetic than I was expecting. I couldn’t help but smile at him.
"I’m okay, a little anxious. But I think I’m ready, it’s going to be great." I tried to make myself believe the words I was saying. I took the coffee from him and Jaxon held out his arm for me. I let him guide me to the garage and over to the Jaguar. I smiled wider. I loved taking the Jaguar.
