I read through the paper, happy to see there wasn’t anything suspicious in there–nothing that looked like it would lead to a terrible report from Antonio or any of my people. I sipped my coffee and leaned against the counter. I glanced up only when Sara made her way down the stairs. Her big belly pushed through first, and it was clear her sweats were barely able to hold on. 


"Good morning, beautiful, how are you feeling?" I asked. 


She frowned and gave me a pitifully grumpy face. 


"I don’t know, my back hurts," she moaned. "I don’t think I slept well. I got up to pee a lot. It’s like the baby has positioned itself on my bladder."
