"Are you ready for Nanny Palooza?" my husband asked me with a grin, surveying the spread I'd laid out in my home office. "It looks like you're about to invite an army for tea."
I had five interviews with potential nannies planned for the day, and being unprepared wasn't an option. The long table my husband typically used for conferences was covered with various types of breakfast foods and beverages. Coffee, tea, danish, muffins and bagels were on offer for my morning interviews. I had an entire separate menu for meetings taking place in the afternoon.
"I'm interviewing five nannies today, so in a way, I have invited an army to tea," I pointed out. "Are you sure you can't stick around for the action? I've got your favorite cheese danish and coffee."
I already knew there was little hope of Jaxon staying. He'd warned me that he had a full schedule today, and wouldn't be around to assist. Still, a girl could hope.
