I was so relieved and overjoyed that Sara was okay and Cameron was healthy that it was hard to focus on anything else. I'd been in firefights that had been less stressful than the birth of my son. I would rather have been unarmed with ten gangsters pointing guns at me than deal with that level of fear again.

Seeing Sara in that level of agony had scared the shit out of me. Wondering if my son was going to be okay was hell.

Parenthood was more stressful than any mafia-related situation I had ever encountered. And that was saying something.

"Hey Jaxon, have you seen Teddy around lately?" Jack, my latest IT hire asked me. Jack was probably about twenty two years old, but he looked like a kid playing dress-up in his long-sleeved dress shirt and ironed jeans.
