Sara
I sat quietly in the car, looking at the city outside as Jaxon drove. The constant rage and pain were almost comforting now. I stared out into the lights and could only imagine my children were out there somewhere. Jaxon reached over and took my hand. I tried to force a smile. His smile was just as weak.
He pulled up to the Factory, a place I never wanted to see again. But I knew it was necessary for us to be here. Jaxon got out of the car and moved around quickly to open the door for me.
Antonio met us outside. He put his arms around Jaxon first, in a slow consoling hug. Jaxon clasped him on the back. Antonio whispered something to him, but I couldn't hear it.
Jaxon patted Antonio’s shoulder and then headed inside. Antonio moved over to me and placed his hands on my cheeks.
"Sara, I’m so sorry. I really thought that that place would be it. We lost Vitullo, he gave us the slip. I have no doubt he’s involved."
