Jaxon
We had been at the ranch for three weeks, and I had to say, the place was starting to grow on me.
At first, being out in the middle of nowhere was fucking annoying. I was used to being in places where you could order anything, any time of day and it magically appeared on your doorstep. But here, there was no delivery service. Hell, there was only one supermarket and a family-style restaurant up the road. Even if they had delivery, what would I even order?
So you could say it was a bit of an adjustment. At first I thought I was going to lose my fucking mind.
But after a while, I started to notice what the ranch did have. The pond, for example. The kids loved the baby ducks that swam in a line, following their parents along the surface of the water. Camilla had even given them names.
I think one was named Fluffy.
It was adorable.
