Jaxon
I was speeding down the highway, still unsure of where I was rushing off to. I just knew that I needed to find Sara before anything bad happened.
Dana kidnapping our children right under our noses was still very fresh and raw in my mind, not to mention the whole home invasion thing.
I banged my hand against the steering wheel. Part of me was absolutely pissed with Sara for taking such an unnecessary risk for no reason at all. She should have just answered the phone when I called her back, but she'd chosen to do this instead.
Being angry was the only thing keeping me from spiraling into a pit of despair right now. I didn't want to start picturing the worst case scenarios, but it was really hard not to, especially when I had just come out of a mafia meeting.
I nearly swerved when my phone suddenly started ringing. I scrambled to pick the phone up from the passenger seat, wondering if security was calling me to tell me that Sara had come back home.
