"Are you sure it’s going to be okay leaving the kids like this? I mean I know I liked her and picked her, but we only just met Chloe," I protested.
I buckled my seatbelt anyway, I knew he wasn’t going to turn around.
"Lauren is there too; she won’t let anything happen to them," Jaxon said, pulling out of the drive. He reached over, though and rubbed my shoulder. "We wouldn’t be leaving if I didn’t feel the kids were going to be safe."
"We left her there with a trained mafia person. Chloe could have, like, assassinating skills," I muttered.
Jaxon laughed at me, I crossed my arms and pouted a little.
"Honey, she’s a nanny and she was specific about how she didn’t really want to be in on a lot of fighting and killing. I have the monitors and alarms sent to my phone if there’s a problem. But everything is going to be fine. They are in good hands."
"Please promise me this nanny is going to be better than before. I really don’t think I can go through that again."
