I reached down and shook Jones’s hand. His grip was strong, and his hand was calloused. I was a bit surprised considering how well put together he looked.
"Nice to see you again, Harrison," I said. I then turned to Sara. She looked radiant and confident. I was impressed. "This is my wife and partner in business, Sara."
She reached over and shook his hand. As soon as her skin touched his I could see her recoil, just a fraction. Thankfully, Jones didn’t seem to notice. I scooted into the seat and let Sara slide into the end.
"Thank you so much for being willing to meet with me."
"Well, you made an intriguing proposal, I have to admit. So tell me, why is it better for me to give up control of my business and join with you?" he asked.
There was a tight arrogance to his voice and I could understand why Antonio had such trouble with him. I smiled coyly.
