A strong sense of relief washed over me as we left the restaurant. It felt like the meeting went really well. Jaxon was holding my hand tightly and rubbing his thumb against the back of my hand. As we reached the car he stopped and pulled me close to him, kissing me deeply. 


"You did fantastic, my love. I’m so sorry I underestimated you. You are really good at this!" he said with real adoration in his eyes. He kept his hands on my shoulders and squeezed them excitedly. 


I reached forward and wrapped my arms around his waist. I smiled, feeling a bit smug. 


In response he just leaned forward and kissed me passionately. After a moment he pulled away and opened the door for me to get back in the car. I settled in, feeling much better than before. Jaxon got in and smiled at me as he buckled his seatbelt. 


"I was a bit nervous. You had me really anxious about that meeting but that was actually kind of easy," I said.
