Chapter 35 : Not So Easy!

As the media circus swirled around me, I was shoved in the back of the cop car. It was an inconvenience to deal with, but I wasn’t concerned that I’d be charged with anything.

At the police station, the media crews had already arrived and kept mobbing us as they took me inside.

“Mr. Crest, did you really assault Gia Beck?” a reporter asked, thrusting a microphone in my face.

“I assure you, these allegations are baseless, and this will be cleared up in no time,” I said.

“What about her injuries? How did she get those?” another reporter asked, microphone in hand.

“I can’t speak to that. I’m sure the police will do a thorough investigation,” I said.

The cops hauled me inside and shut the reporters out. They led me to an interrogation room, still handcuffed, but switching them around so the cuffs were in front of me now, and sat me down in a chair.

“You really like being the center of attention don’t you, Mr. Crest?” one of them asked.
