“Are you sure about this?” Levi asks next to me.
He is leaning against the door frame, hands inside his pants pockets and a serious look on his face.
I nod confidently.
“I am. It's the best way.”
“You don't have to face it alone. We can do this together,” Levi affirms, taking my hand.
I smile at his obvious concern.
“First of all, Rose was my friend. I need to know why she's been acting the way she has. Put an end to her. Alone.”
“I understand.”
Levi kisses my hand softly. I caress his face.
“I will come home soon,” I promise.
He doesn't respond, but puts his hand on my waist and pulls me against his chest. The pressure of his lips finds mine easily.
His eyes are heavy with promise. I smile and turn my back to him, pulling the keys to the sports car from my purse.
