“Do we have to go,” I ask Levi, watching him finish fixing his tie. 


“We'll stir up more rumors if we miss than if we go,” he assures me.


I breathe in slowly, knowing he's telling the truth.


I take an emerald and diamond bracelet and put it on. It matches my dress and my eyes. I've chosen it carefully to make sure I make the best possible impression.


Levi wears a black suit with a green vest that matches my outfit. Not only does he look stunning, but he will probably make us the center of attention.


He takes my hand and kisses it, leaving his gaze locked on mine.


“Never more than now,” I answer with a smile on my lips. 


We say goodbye to June and get into the car. The night passes quickly around us. In my hands I hold the elegant card inviting me to the moon dance, which I keep glancing at from time to time.
