Chapter 48: Aeliana's Unspoken Prayer

“Well,” Aeliana hesitated. “I would really rather take proper time to understand my mother, even if it means losing everything I once had.”

“Faye is here to dissolve any emotional pain that may prevent you from properly understanding your mother,” Jacques interjected as he angled himself closer to Aeliana.

“It’s not really much of her business. I feel like… We just don’t need her here, you know?” Aeliana sighed as she gazed out the castle windows. She felt so utterly locked up, imprisoned, that it didn’t matter to her if she was in the Realm of Darkness or the Ethereal Realm. She just knew in her mind that she had fallen in love with quite a dangerous being, one who had committed many atrocities against her.

And yet, she knew that his heart would always be a welcome home to her. That her soul would always be and feel loved around him, at one with him.
