12.THE SLEEPOVER ...

" What are you doing here ? " I asked Lily .

" I am here to help you ..." She said .

I just nodded and started working . Mr Leo is never here these days I wonder what happened . Whatever its none of my business.

" Me and Serena live together . Serena was adopted by our family . She has always been there for me . I came here because of her. And today we are living with Sam's family . You should stay today we will enjoy a lot ..." Lily .

" No thanks ...I am good...." I answered while she just shrugged .

" How can I help ? Should I pass you some tools ..." Lily .

" There is a tool box in the cabin . Give it to me ..." I said .

" In which cabin there are many cabins in here ..." Lily asked .

" Thee one below the front window ..." I answered .

" Um , M ...There are many boxes in here ....Which is the tool box..." , Lily .

" The red one ..." I said .

" It made of plastic or ..."

Oh my God ...I should have fetched it by myself . I am a complete numbskull .

" Yes that one ..." Lily as she finally brought to me .

" Anything else . How about I change a punctured tyre ? " She asked .

Man , at least Sam doesn't talk much even if he doesn't help .

" I don't know... Have you done it before ...? " , I asked .

" No but I am positive that I can do it ...."

Man what should I say ...Should I say no...But that will be rude and for some reason I don't want to hurt her especially when she looks like this : 🥺...I hate this .Sam where are you ?

Finally , Lily gave up after a while . Her whole dress has grease spiller on it . And she is wearing a frock . A literal frock ...

I am thinking about how to fix my drone . If we think about it . Its not something impossible . I just want to know what happened to it . I am sure followed instructions perfectly . I guess I have to test the fuel again . But it should have worked properly . Unfortunately it crashed after flying for a while ....

AT 8'O' clock :

Lily left a while ago and Mr Leo has not come yet . I wonder what he is doing these days .

" You are still here ..." Mr Leo ... " I am sorry kid ...I was busy dealing with customers. With you here I can travel to different places for getting my job done . " He happily .

" And I calculated profit this month has increased up to 10 percent .Hence you are permanently hired ..." Mr Leo happily said .

" Thanks ...And I am very busy with the job . So I want to stay for a while ..." I said .

" You should come and stay at our place tonight . We are having a slumber party though I am not sure if that is what it is called ..." Mr Leo said.

" No , thanks I prefer to go home ..." I said ....

" Oh come on ...Stay with us ...You can have fun with Sam and other kids ..." Mrs Leo insisted .Yeah that is what I call her because I don't exactly remember her name .

Finally I gave up and agreed to stay over . I don't know why I agreed though .

Have you ever found yourself in a situation and wondered why you are in it . That is what is happening with me . I am sitting on the dinning table with Sam's family and his cousins Lily and Serena who is adopted . Anyway this room is so noisy . Sam is helping to set the dishes . Lily is in the kitchen helping Mrs Leo though its quite irritating because she doesn't know anything as always. ..

" Where is the salt ? " Lily ...🧂🧂🧂

" I told you its on the cupboard ..." Mrs Leo .

" Here it is ...Now please sit down here I will do it by myself ...." Mrs Leo

" No aunt Anny I will help you out ..."

" There is no need to do it ..."

Serena is nowhere to be seen . I should just go out in the backyard . The house is small and comfortable 🏡🏡🏡. Its warm like a mother's lap ....Its purple in colour . It has a backyard and nice rocky pavement .

And I found Serena . She is practicing basketball on the basketball court. I didn't know Sam's house would have basketball court.

" Oh hi M..." Serena .

M ? Why is she calling me , M ?

" Hi ..."

She was dribbling the ball while she slowly came towards me .

" You know when we were kids ...Sam also played the basketball . I used to play it with him . I still miss those times ." Serena .

Then we stayed quiet for a while and Serena also stopped dribbling . The backyard was nice but due to autumn season winds were cold enough to numb my hands and face , leaves were brown and crisp , trees were bare with no greenery except some evergreen plants .

Winter is arriving ....

AFTER SOMETIME : " Dinner is ready ..." Lily called in her squeaky voice .

Man , she is loud.

There are many things on the dinning table : butter chicken , fried rice as well as pepper chicken . 🐓🐓🐓🐓

" Ma , why are there so many chicken dishes ? ..." Sam said .

" Well , your grandma send lots of chicken so we have to use them ...Don't we ? "Mrs Leo .

" You know I don't like chicken ...." , Sam.

" Why are you worried that it will peck your stomach ? " ...Lily .

Except Sam and me everyone burst into laughter .

" You know M . When Sam was kid he used to believe that the chicken will become alive in his stomach ...." Lily .

" And will peck his stomach ..." Serena .

"He used to be so cute back then ..."

While everyone talked about same he ignored. them and ate pepper chicken .

" Its not so bad ..." Sam . " You should also try it ..." He passed the bowl to me.

Again , he is acting weird . Now that I think he sat on the chair which is right beside me .

AFTER DINNER : I offered to help with the dishes but they refused especially Lily who tried to wash dishes by herself but ended up breaking most of them . While Sam was just busy with his phone .

" We are going to have our friends here ..." Lily said happily .
