chapter 26 :Gem

North of the city in a dark alleyway---

Two figures could be seen disappear and reappear in different places in the area.

Rivor slashed upwards and a green line was sent towards the hooded man.

The man in the hood flickered and the green line passed him as if he was a ghost.

' Assassin class...this are the most trickiest to deal with' Rivor thought inwardly.

Sensing danger behind him he did not even turn but placed his sword behind his head just in time as another metal hit his blade

The force was enough to push him forward.

Using the momentum ,Rivor spin around and green energy could be seen sent to different directions.

The man in the hood was caught of guard in this attack so he could only activate his skill and slash X in front of him

Clang

Kiiin

The sound of iron hitting iron could be heard,the man in the hood also activated his skill.

Dark energy surrounded his swords like an aura and he slashed four different directions.

Then he vanished from his position.

Rivor immediately sensed danger from four different parts of his body,his head,his legs,his arm and his heart all vital parts.

Without hesitation he slammed his foot on the ground and a wide green energy exploded from his body sending waves of energy to his surroundings.

BOOM

BOOM

The energy met the black Slashs and they both nulled each other causing small explosions which cause small shockwaves to spread.

Suddenly Rivor jumped and slashed below him just in time as he met the blade of the hooded man.

Adding more pressure to his sword he was able to send the man back to the ground which gave him time to recoil as he landed and stared at the man In black.

Rivor looked at the man in front of him who had blood on his hand,and some parts of his robe like the waisted the neck the left rib all had clean cuts on them with some even dripping blood.

The he looked at his condition.

He wasn't also of the hook he had some injuries on his arm,his hands are bruised the two sides of his neck all had small cuts on it his legs also had a cut that had blood dripping on it.

'this is 5mins since the fight between me and the hooded man began and I am already at a disadvantage' Rivor thought as he stared at his stamina which has been almost depleted.

' The fight earlier with the other thugs was meant too make me run out of stamina quickly,so the men was only useful for that' Rivor looked at the man in the hood with a slightly angry expression.

He was willing to sacrifice his men without any remorse just to increase his chances of defeating Rivor.

'This bastard does not even value the life of his men, people like him should not be left alive' Rivor said as his eyes turned slightly red from anger,green energy circling his body.

Rivor stumped the ground and exploded with a speed that slightly stunned the hooded man.

In a second he was in front of the man in the hood and he slashed down on him.

The man survival instincts kicked in a from years of training and battling,he raised his daggers and formed a cross that was for blocking the attack his sword glowing with the dark aura of his skill.

Rivor completed the slash and at first everything was still but suddenly a bright green light formed in front of the place he slash and slammed into the giant X that the man had made.

BOOOOOM

An explosion occurred with the two skills colliding with each other.

The explosion caused some smoke too raise so know could know the outcome of the two.

A few seconds and strong gust of wind just like earlier when victor threw a fire ball at Zilon and it created a smoke screen that obstructed people's view.

The wind cleared the smoke and it revealed Rivor standing While panting heavily.

And a divided man in half as blood purged out from the opening.

Rivor stood straight after panting for a few more seconds.

He sheathed his sword back and walked towards the dead corpse of his enemie.

When he was above him he bent down and pick up two glowing orbs.

'Hmm this will be quite useful ' Rivor said as he look at what he had in his hand.

He turned around to Zilon standing behind him waving at him.

"This kid....I thought he was the one shaking earlier" Rivor said with a small smile relief in his heart.

Earlier when Rivor was fighting the Man in the hood.

Zilon was a little behind this time he won't stay to close after what happened.

He was observing there battle with an indifferent expression.

' There fight is quite basic if you ask me ,no skills no flashy attacks,Rivor seems to be holding back slightly but the man on there other hand....' Zilon narrowed his eyes as though barely could see what was happening in the battle.

"Forget it Rivor is quite strong" he said with a relaxed expression.

His body has already stopped shaking and he has somehow forgotten the pain in his neck, apparently it has healed without him knowing.

Suddenly behind him he saw a flash of rainbow color at the corner of his eyes.

Looking back he saw a ball that had different colors on it.

This ball was close to one of the man who were dead.

Zilon walked slowly towards it and when he reached it he bent down and picked it up.

Crack

Suddenly the object that looks like Gem began to form cracks

"What.....?"

He did not expect it to be quite soft so the moment he held it in his hands it broke.

But before he could think of anything else the gem lost its color when this happened a small light came out of the stone and entered Zilon's forehead.

[Congratulations on acquiring a new skill]

"What the?....." Zilon was confused

Everything was happening suddenly that he didn't even have time to make an expression.

[SKILL CANNOT BE ABSORBED UNTIL YOU REACH THE NEXT LEVEL]

Zilon looked at the two new messages the system sent too him with a blank expression.

He felt a little lightheaded for some reason.

"What just happened to me" Zilon said as he shakes his head softly.

He looked at his and but there was nothing there anymore.

"Hmm what could this be, a skill?, Maybe a reward for killing the bad guys,so its gaven to the person in form of an orb?,but I wasn't the one who killed them so how come I could still get it?" Zilon held his chin and looked down as he voiced his thoughts.

"I guess there are still things that I don't know of which is quite obvious" Zilon closed his eyes and breathed then reopened it and looked back the battle between Rivor and the man.

Though he missed a lot as he only saw smoke when he looked.

"Huh?,What happened"

But before anything else he saw the Smoke clearing and he saw Rivor panting heavily and the hooded Man in the ground divided in half.

"....." Zilon was speechless so he could only look in shock at the state of the enemies .

'brutal' That was the only thing that came to his mind.

Seeing Rivor walk towards the corpse he slightly observed his actions and when he saw him pull out thesame Gem like object he began to call to Rivor and waved to get his attention.

Rivor seems to have noticed it and when he turned to see Zilon he also waved back at him with a small smile of relief.

"How can this guy smile even after such brutality" Zilon said with a weird expression on his face.

But this was just another realization for Zilon as he understood one more thing about this world.

' To survive it doesn't matter the way you kill,it's kill or be killed ' And with that in mind his trust towards others has decreased drastically and even Rivor was not an exception.

Though he knew he can't do anything if he decides to betray him but at least he won't be caught of guard if something like that we're to happen.
