Chapter 3

"Mum!!!" She screamed and rushed over to where her mum was laying.

She lay motionless and lifeless, which seemed to scare the living hell out of her.

She searched everywhere for her mother's inhaler but she still couldn't find it.

"Where is it!!!" She screamed as she ransacked everywhere.

She took her phone and dialled the first number that came to her mind. She dialled the number two consecutive times but no answer. She dropped her phone on the floor.

She was about to rush out of the apartment to buy another one when she caught sight of it on the dining table.

She heaved a sigh of relief and ran towards and picked it up.

She applied it for her mum but it seems it wasn't working.

Camilla's eyes widened in fear when she saw that her mum wasn't responding.

"What's this? Mum, please open your eyes," She whispered, her eyes becoming watery.

Her knees felt weak instantly, so she ended up sitting.

The tears which had been threatening to fall fell freely and she didn't bother to stop them.

She shook her mom rapidly while screaming at the top of her voice, "Mom you don't have to leave me now when I need you more than ever mom, dad left me, and granny also left me. You promised to stand by me mom. You told me you were the one to walk me down the aisle. You said you're my mom and you are my dad,

Then why are you leaving me so soon? Why, why, why…?" She cried loudly as she kept tugging and shaking her body.

"It shouldn't be this way mum," She cried even more loudly.

"Don't you think you need to confirm things before wasting your precious tears?" She heard the voice of the most special person in her life.

'it's her mom,'

She looked up and saw her mum smiling weakly.

"Mum!!" She screamed in tears and embraced her.

"Why were you careless mum?" She scolded her.

"Now my little angel is scolding me," Her mum smiled weakly.

"Mum, please don't do this again, I thought I'd lost you and my world seems scrambled," She said and her mother nodded smilingly.

"Come on, Let me help you so you can sit," She said and helped her mum sit on the only cushion in their living room.

"How was your..." A knock on the door interrupted her mum.

They both faced each other with widened eyes.

"Who can it be?" They questioned themselves.

"Open the door moron," The voice said and Camilla sighed.

Her mum bit back her laughter, because the look on Camilla's face at that moment can kill her.

Camilla stood and opened the door but was shocked to her bone marrow when she saw Larissa coming in wearing her pyjamas.

"Mrs Tyler!!!" She ran and hugged Mrs Tyler who also reciprocated happily.

They disengaged from the hug and Larissa looked around.

"Are you okay?" She asked worriedly.

"You look pale, did you experience it again?" She asked with raised brows.

"Yes, She did," Camilla answered on her behalf.

Larissa sighed and smiled sadly.

"I'll make sure we come up with a way to fix this," She said to Mrs Tyler who nodded smilingly.

She stood and excused herself, giving the girls privacy.

"You look angry with me," Larissa asked Camilla.

"Is that the reason you didn't pick up my calls when I called back?" She asked and Camilla faced her swiftly.

"You called me?" She asked shockingly.

"Yes, you can check," Larissa said and she nodded and checked her phone.

She was shocked when she saw ten missed calls from her

"Of course, I'm angry with you. But I didn't ignore your call purposely," She explained.

"But why are you angry?" She inquired.

"Why shouldn't I be? When mum's attack started, I called you but you didn't pick up, do you know how hard I panicked?" She said with teary eyes.

"I'm sorry, I swear it. But it wasn't entirely my fault," Larissa announced.

"What happened?" Camilla asked, wiping her tears.

"I was sleeping when you called but the moment I stirred, I saw your missed calls and when I called back, you weren't picking up. So I got scared and rushed here," She explained.

"Where did you tell your parents that you were going to?" Camilla asked.

"Nothing," Larissa shrugged.

"Just like that?" Camilla asked with widened eyes.

He dashed into the kitchen and came out twenty minutes later with a plate of Chicken Marsala which looked yummy and delicious.

He dug into it and ate it up before clearing the dishes and retiring to his room.

He was freshening up when he got a call from Cisco.

He quickly dried himself and rushed out of the bathroom to pick up his call.

"Hello," Cisco's voice came out loud.

"When are you coming back?" He inquired rudely.

"Can't you change," Cisco asked.

Damien imagined the look on his face that moment and bit back his laughter

"Well, I just wanted to hear from you," Cisco announced.

"Why?" Damien asked.

"Crazy question," Cisco muttered.
