When mankind discovers faster-than-light travel, the mysteries of the universe open up to them. Earth: The Last Colony

Bodies and broken buildings paved the way to the spaceport and as they boarded the only undamaged shuttle, looking back at all the surviving humans trying to restore order, Bracus stopped mid-stride. 


“Why are we going to Mars? To pick a fight with the seven?” He posed the question to Death. 


Death grinned as he motioned for Bracus to get into the shuttle. 


“Well, yes and no. They are in the way, but I won’t destroy them if I don’t have to. I just need access to the base mainframe. That and whoever is slumming inside that pretty little frame.” Death said while pointing at Diane. 


Diane shot up from her seat. “Now listen here...!” 


“Oh untwist your panties sugar and hush. I need Remus to help me make a call.” Death said, cutting off her protest. 


Everyone seated, Bracus launched the shuttle into orbit...and jumped.
