Summer Isles - The Cove

Eragon Targaryen

----

Waking up in bed with no one to cuddle I feel a bit empty inside.

Then I remember how I passed out and my eyes widen in excitement, I jump up and head for the door but stop when I see I was undressed. Such loving wives I have as they know I sleep naked so they accommodated me so I would be comfortable.

I throw on some clothes and open the door in a hurry, seeing the whole family eating at the table and smelling the good food my stomach grumbles. I don't see Marwyn as I approach and I feel a bit anxious, I want that candle!

"Have a good rest sleepyhead?" Shiera watches me approach and gives me a wide smile.

I walk behind her and hug her as I place a kiss on her neck and then take the chair next to her that was empty.

"Did he run off with that candle?" I ask immediately and everyone at the table stops eating to look at me.

"I guess you slept fine." Shiera huffs and I grab her hand and pull it up to kiss it as I look around waiting for an answer.

"Candle?" I ask again with a bit of impatience as I am very excited to see if I am right about how that candle works. It would almost make sense, the Valyrians did some amazing things that were hard to explain and this might fill in some cracks.

Imagine being able to look for a missing man or if someone had a high bounty or stole something important. Watching a meeting between your enemies or even scouting a battlefield or enemy camp.

There are surely ways to block the sight of the candle the more I think about it or the Valyrians would have destroyed these things. Imagine an important figure in Valyria being watched constantly by just anyone who made a glass candle. He would lose all his secrets as his enemies would watch him even when he went to the bathroom.

"You want a rematch with the thing already?" I nod hearing Visenya ask with a hint of amusement in her voice.

"I think I figured something out and if I am right it will be beyond 'big' and jump up to dragon importance." Eyebrows fly up toward hairlines and I put a hand up to silence everyone before I get any questions. "I was using it exactly how I light my sword on fire, I simply thought about pirates as I wanted to see if the thing really would show me the pirates. I did not think about just how many pirates there are and I think that's why it jumped around and showed so many random people and places." I don't see anyone immediately jump to what I am thinking about as they laugh and shake their heads at my 'mistake'.

"So you fell over because you tried to use the thing to see 'pirates' and it showed you too many pirates?" Danny asks seriously to move on with the conversation even though she also looks ready to laugh at my plight.

"I think so, I want to see that man again as soon as possible. I have a pretty crazy idea that came to me when I was distracting myself from the pain and admiring Nata's ass." Nata who was mid-bite stops and frowns as she looks my way.

"You want to use it to look at my ass? Eragon, bend me over if you want to see it that bad..." I blink a few times and let out a sigh as I realize I walked into that one.

"Thanks for confirming you are fine being bent over but I think my idea is a bit more important... barely more important." Nata rolls her eyes and brings her spoon to her mouth but I notice it was only to hide a smile that was forming.

"What is your idea?" Danny asks as she stands up and walks over to me and drops into my lap.

I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her in close, her soft body forming to fit against mine as she wiggles into a comfortable position.

"I want to try to use it to find something a bit rarer than a pirate or scouting an enemy. I am very curious if I can use it to find Valyrian steel or maybe dragons, not of the seven I hatched." Seeing the understanding looks I lean back into my chair and pull Danny back with me.

----

"Sorry I was going to sleep when I got summoned, I was worried something might have happened with the sudden summons." Marwyn likely thought his head was about to roll because something happened to me.

The glass candle from before sits Infront of me and I slowly hold my hand out to it and try to picture just a Valyrian blade. Not Brightroar as that would only show me my sword and I want to see if I can spot one I have never seen.

"Eragon had a sudden idea none of us could wait for the morning to see, nothing is wrong as of yet." Shiera pacifies the man's worries and he wipes his brow with his forearm.

"That's good, I am glad nothing happened but may I ask what the idea is?" I lick my lips watching a white flame flick on top of the candle and hazy colors slowly appear.

"I want to see if I can find Valyrian steel blades and armor using this thing or maybe even dragons living somewhere unknown to man. That's not all I want but it will prove to me it works how I think it does and it will open a door to many different plans and ideas." I try to ignore the man's Valyrian steel staff as I spot it from the other side of the table. I am only focusing on the patterns of the steel and the blade shape in hopes of seeing what I seek.

My head feels like something is tickling the inside of it, a similar experience to keeping the golden flames on my blade but this is very 'unique'. I don't have the faintest idea what it is actually doing inside my head but I do feel like I am slowly straining a muscle of some kind.

I almost start to lose hope when a clear image of a sword slowly appears in the flame. The white flame is very different from R'hllor's seeing in the flames as this has different colors and you can tell easier what you're looking at.

A sheathed blade with a golden cross guard with a golden pommel with a ruby in the middle.

"Wow it worked, at least it found a sword and is not changing around like the pirates." Rhaenys leans in and squints her eyes and I almost lose focus on the tingling feeling as I feel something new come over me.

If before it was a straining muscle that tickled now it feels like something 'connected' to me in a very uncomfortable way. I am focusing as much as I can on the heart-shaped ruby in the pommel on the sword in hopes it will keep the sword in the flame and not swap.

"Is that not the sword of House Corbray the blade's name is Lady Forlorn if I remember correctly. It is known for the heart-shaped ruby in the pommel." Visenya speaks up and I lose focus as I drop back into my seat and the flame goes out.

"I think it was, it is a favorite story of mine when Kingsguard Gwayne Corbray used it in a duel with Daemon Blackfyre in the battle of the Redgrass Field. They say the duel between them went on for more than an hour and the sounds of Lady Forlorn colliding with Blackfyre could be heard for leagues around." Well, that means it kind of worked but that is not a 'new' blade and I can't do much with that information.

"Try to find Blackfyre! You might be able to see if it is buried or something like that." Rhaenyra excitedly looks toward me and I take a deep breath before sitting forward once more and holding my hand beside the candle.

I have imagined the blade Blackfyre a hundred of times, a hand and half-longsword fit for a king. Black handle with a cross guard that has dragon heads on the ends and a ruby in the middle. A 'plain' pommel with a circle of dragon wings engraved upon it giving it some flair. A massive blade that would almost be unwieldy if it was not light Valyrian steel, I crave this sword.

I open my eyes I shut to focus on my imagination of what Blackfyre would look like and spot a sword in its sheath once more but this time it's different. A woman with Valyrian features has the blade resting on her side as she sits in a chair and eats some kind of bread. The light reflects off her eyes making them look slightly blue but also have a tinge of purple and her hair is put up and gives her a casual look.

She has no idea more than ten people are watching her and none of us say a single word as we watch her devour her food like a starving person.

"That is Blackfyre?" Nata asks and I nod.

"With a Blackfyre." Daenerys tone is full of venom and she is not pleased.

I can't even believe I am looking at my 'enemy' as this is way too sudden of a development. I knew I would fight Blackfyres in the future but I never thought I would see one today.

"She looks nothing like what I thought the wielder of the conquers sword would look like. I was expecting a 'monstrous' and freakishly strong opponent who would instill fear." Shiera speaks the thoughts most of us have as we watch the Blackfyre pick up the blade and bring it to her hip and belt it.

I am both amused and a bit pissed off looking at the woman sitting around and enjoying herself with a sword I have always desired. My eyes widen when she starts walking and the flame shows a little more of the room she is in and we watch her lean over to hug a different woman.

I lose concentration on the blade when I spot her ass but I play it off cool and shake my head and hold it in 'pain'.

"Give me a moment and we can watch again." I feel a hand pat me on the back as I 'recover'.

"I think you should look for Dark Sister next, it is completely unknown where Brynden Rivers its last wielder left it. We at least knew where Blackfyre was and who likely had it but no one knows anything about Dark sister." Visenya likely wants to see the blade used by her namesake so I nod and remember to peek back at the Blackfyre later to look for some secrets of hers.

----

"Another female wielder of our house lost blade." I hear Rhaenyra sigh as we watch a woman dressed in furs walk through a forest with what could only be Dark sister.

I have no idea who this could be but she also has Valyrian features but a bit of an 'edge' to her that gives a wild and untamed feeling. She seems to be traveling and I sometimes spot someone walking behind her but I have not got a good look as the flame is focused on the blade.

"Where do you think that is and who could she be to have the sword and look Valyrian?" I shrug hearing Ellaria and focus on the land I can vaguely see around her.

"I am not entirely sure but she should be beyond the wall, it is where Brynden Rivers was last seen when he was Lord Commander of the Nights watch. He went missing beyond the wall and this very well could be a kid of his possibly and that's why she has the sword." So she is a wildling beyond the wall with a Valyrian blade.

She likely slaughters other wildlings like pigs with Valyrian steel when most wildlings use cheap weapons of stone wood and rarely metal. She has one of the most well-known swords ever on her person and I wonder if she even knows.

Either way, I want to go to the wall to see Aemon Targaryen at some point, I might just have to hunt this 'dragon seed' down to recover the blade.
