Chapter 13

Marvin Branagh felt warm and comfy right now, the last thing he remembered before everything went dark was the beautiful flames that came from the kind and very strong Hope Potter, it was at this moment that Marvin understood why her parents named her Hope.

The next thing that happened to Marvin was that he found himself sitting on a very soft and comfortable couch so he opened his eyes and immediately noticed a tall pale skinned, black-haired woman wearing a pitch black cloak but what really drew his attention to the woman before him were her yellow eyes.

The woman softly smiled at him and Marvin couldn't help but feel safe and comfortable, the woman then nodded at him and spoke "Welcome to the afterlife, Marvin Branagh".

Marvin sighed and nodded, he had a feeling as to where he was and who was before him "I see... so you're Aunty Death right?".

Death giggled and nodded "That's right~ it seems like my adorable niece and daughter have mentioned me before".

Marvin chuckled and nodded "Yes, especially Hope" he shook his head in amusement "Those girls I swear... because of them I'm having a casual conversation with Death, go figure?".

Death smiled "I rather like it~ many who come before me always cry, scream and beg, it gets rather boring to be treated like a plague all the time though I can understand why they do so".

Marvin nodded, it isn't easy to accept death that's for sure he certainly hasn't fully accepted it yet but thanks to Hope's words and Morgan's kindness he was fine "Yes I can see how this might be a little overwhelming for most people... so what's next?".

Death smiled "Well my niece and daughter have asked me to take care of you and I'm not one to deny them anything when they ask me for something, especially when they rarely do so".

Marvin nodded and Death continued to speak "So you have a few options available to you, first you can go to heaven~ you have been a good hardworking man and an excellent cop so you have a spot reserved in Heaven for you".

That sounded nice to Marvin and it certainly was good to hear that his life and way of living had earned him a spot in Heaven, Death went on "You can also reincarnate if you wish, start from scratch but of course, you will not have your memories or anything like that".

Interesting choice and one he was sure is not offered often, Death continued on "Or you can stay here with me in my Domains along with people who care and love those two adorable girls and watch their adventures".

That was very appealing to Marvin, Morgan and Hope were kind and wonderful girls who were very amazing and he would be lying if he said he wasn't interested in what sort of adventures they would be getting into plus Death really seemed as kind and as the girls had told him she was.

Suddenly a red-headed woman stepped out from behind where Death was sitting, in her arms, she was holding a big bowl of popcorn "Hey Death! I got the popcor-oh! Sorry I didn't know you were seeing anyone".

Death smiled and shook her head "It's alright Lily, this Marvin your granddaughter and grandniece asked me to take care of him".

Marvin raised an eyebrow "Granddaughter? Then you're?".

Lily smiled and nodded "Yes, I'm Lily Potter and Hope is my granddaughter, it's nice to meet you, Marvin, it kinda sucks you died but as you can see it's not that bad here".

Marvin chuckled and nodded "Yeah, it's not bad here... you look like Hope but you give me the same vibe as Morgan".

Lily giggled and blushed a bit while Death hummed "He does have a point... those two are very similar to you Lily they even act like you when they're mad".

Lily sweatdropped at the verbal jab Death just shot at her while Marvin smiled "If you don't mind I would like to stay here and keep an eye on the girls and see what they get up to".

Death smiled and clapped her hands "Wonderful! This is going to be fun I promise".

Lily smile and nodded "I'll introduce you to everyone here in the afterlife later! You're going to love it here, there are all kinds of things to do here and a lot of people to meet!".

Marvin nodded and smiled "I can't wait, I'm sure that it will be fun being here".

Both Death and Lily smiled glad that Marvin was willing to stay here, Hope and Morgan had asked Death to take care of him and she will, Lily also wanted to help him since she felt bad about the way he died.

Even though he knew his time was coming he still helped the girls as best as he could and that was worth something in Lily's eyes, she can't wait to introduce him to James and Charlus plus all the male Uzumaki.

She was sure that Marvin will have the time of his afterlife here in Death's Domain amongst friends, with that last thought Lily ran back to the kitchen and began to prepare more popcorn.

She was sure that the girls will be having more adventures while helping Claire get out of the police station and she didn't want to miss anything.

The girls walked down the stairs after going through the new gateway they opened up with the three medallions they collected, Morgan was still looking rather sad but Claire held her hand to try and cheer her up.

She had to admit that she had forgotten that despite Morgan being a dragon she was still a young girl and Marvin's death must have hit her hard.

Hope also looked a little sad but she seemed to be used to dealing with this sort of thing and was hugging Yuzu who was also feeling a little sad, Karin just quietly walked down the steps while keeping an eye on everyone to make sure they were okay.

It made Claire smile just how much the girls care about each other and how strong they are despite their age, she knew the girls will continue to help and fight despite feeling a bit down.

Soon they reached some sort of basement where they found a very fancy office, the girls immediately went around and picked up the ammo and items around the room.

Morgan looked around the office "Hmm it sort of looks like Aunty Serafall's office but hers is far more advanced".

Claire tilted her head "Advanced?".

Morgan nodded "Daddy and Uncle Harry have been working on bringing a lot of big technological advances to the Yokai Faction things like smartphones, computers, transportation and such they even launched their very own satellite into space to provide phone and internet service to the Yokai Faction".

Claire widened her eyes "Wow... it all sounds so amazing, do you guys have flying cars too?".

Morgan giggled but Hope was the one who answered Claire's questions "Well everyone in the Yokai Faction can fly one way or the other so we don't need flying vehicles but I don't doubt Daddy and Uncle Tony could build something like that if they really wanted to, in fact, Uncle Sirius has a flying motorcycle but that one is more magical than anything else".

Claire grinned and looked up "A flying motorcycle huh? That sounds pretty cool actually".

The girls smiled at Claire and after a bit of time, they decided to keep going so everyone headed to the small hallway on the side of the office and saw an elevator.

So everyone immediately went inside it and rode the elevator which went down a floor and opened up, the girls stepped outside and looked around.

Claire frowned, this place was very dark and so she took out her flashlight light, took a look around, and found a metal staircase heading down, she nodded to the girls who nodded back and immediately began to head down the stairs.

At the end of the metal staircase, they found a doorway so they walked through it and found themselves in some sort of boiler room, luckily this place had light so Claire put away her flashlight and then began to continue forward with the girls following close behind.

As they walked they suddenly heard the footsteps of something or someone running on the metal platform, everyone was surprised a bit and Claire immediately called out to whoever just took off running "Hello!? HELLO!?".

Not getting a response Claire decided to rush forward and the girls followed her wanting to know what that was all about.

Eventually, they found some sort of massive machinery room, Hope frowned "That's an awful lot of machinery for a police station...".

Claire nodded and looked around "You're right and some of this machinery seems highly advanced for a museum turned into a police station".

Morgan hummed "These machines all look like the sort of stuff Daddy and his friends have in their lab... I think there's more to this than meets the eye guys".

Everyone nodded and Yuzu stepped forward and looked around, she noticed a doorway and pointed at it "Hey there's a doorway there! Should we check it out?".

The girls nodded and immediately took off towards the doorway, as soon as they arrived they saw some sort of metal fixture blocking the path, and Morgan immediately pushed it out of the way.

But then the girls saw a shadow move around inside the room and this made everyone tense up, Claire immediately turned her flashlight on and took a look around the room "Hello?".

It was here that they heard some whimpering and from behind some boxes inside the room, a little girl around Yuzu's and Karin's age come out looking rather scared and nervous.

But Morgan didn't care and waved at her happy to see another kid "Oh! Hey! Are playing hide and seek?".

Hope sweatdropped and shook her head "Morgan...".

Claire giggled and shook her head "Hey.. it's okay, we won't hurt you I promise".

The little girl looked very scared and seemed to not want to come out of her hiding spot, Claire and the girls smiled at her not wanting to make her even more scared, Claire then decided to continue speaking with the little girl in hopes of calming her down "Do you need any help? Here... you can take my hand".

But the little girl shook her head "You... need... help".

Claire seemed confused but the girls sensed something behind them and immediately reacted, Morgan disappeared in a blur and reappeared right behind Claire and summoned her Boosted Gear while creating her shield just in time to block a strike from the creature who just tried to hit Claire.

Morgan narrowed her eyes feeling that this creature was way stronger than the rest, especially with how the force of his strike made the metal platform underneath Morgan crack and bent "Everyone go down! I'll push this thing in your direction!".

Yuzu, Karin, and Hope nodded and instantly turned to jump off the metal platform, Hope grabbed Claire and picked her up above her head causing her to squeak in surprise then all three of them jumped down towards the lower platform.

Morgan then glared at the creature and pushed him back with ease, she then jumped towards the wall beside it, kicked off it, and then kicked the creature down towards the bottom metal platform.

She didn't want to cause too much damage here because she didn't want the little girl to get hurt for being too close to the fight so she made sure to control her power, she immediately jumped down to help her friends fight whatever that thing is.

Karin, Yuzu, and Hope landed with ease at the lower metal platform and Hope put Claire down, soon after the creature that just tried to sneak attack them crashed landed a close distance away from them and Claire stared at it for a little bit "You have to be kidding me...".

The creature stood up and growled at her making her sigh "Words ain't gonna cut it with this freak...".

Karin grinned and walked up to Claire's side "Well it's not like we were going to have a conversation with this thing".

Both Yuzu and Hope stood behind Claire and Karin, then Morgan landed in front of them and grinned at everyone "Does anyone know what that thing is? I don't think I've seen anything like it and I've seen a lot of monsters".

Everyone shook their heads letting her know that no they didn't know what this thing was, so Morgan shrugged and then stood up "It's way stronger than those wall crawlers creatures so watch out, Karin you and I will tank while Hope, Claire, and Yuzu provide long-range support and an keep an eye out for any surprises".

Everyone nodded while Hope softly smiled, it was at times like this that Morgan showed how much she seems to be like her Daddy, and Hope really likes that from Morgan.

The creature growled and roared as it picked up a big metal pipe and rushed forward to try to smash the girls with it but Morgan easily blocked it with her shield.

A loud clang echoed around the place from the collision of the pipe against Morgan's Shield but the girls ignored it, Karin rushed forward from Morgan's left side and swung her zanpakutō.

Her blade drew blood as it sliced open the creature's leg but Karin frowned when she didn't feel like she cut too deep "Tch! His skin is super hard!".

The creature howled in pain only to be shut up by Claire shooting her handgun at the creature's head causing it to reel back in pain, Yuzu then shot a black reishi arrow that hit it on the chest and exploded pushing it back.

Hope who was been charging a lightning bullet with a charge shot suddenly shout out "Everyone jump back a bit!".

Everyone did so and the creature suddenly howled and rushed forward in both anger and pain, Hope just narrowed her eyes "Take this! 'Storm Shot!'".

Hope shot the lightning elemental charge shot and everyone gaped when out of her gun a massive maelstrom of lightning shot forward and crashed against the creature trapping it in a small storm of lightning.

The creature howled in pain and dropped to its knees, Claire took advantage of this and used her grenade launcher and shot it with a flame round.

The creature howled one more time in pain as it found itself engulfed in flames, it stood up and began to flail around until it tripped and flipped over a close by handrail falling down below into the darkness.

Morgan rushed forward and looked down but couldn't see the creature anymore "Oh no... I hope that killed it...".

She turned around and shook her head towards the rest of the groups letting them know that she lost sight of whatever that was, Claire sighed "Oh.. I really hope that thing is dead but knowing our luck we're bound to see it again...".

Hope frowned and looked down "But what was it? It was definitely tougher and stronger than what we have seen so far plus... it seems like it used to be human too".

Karin nodded "Yeah I noticed that too... it had a human head and it seemed to be able to form words though it was hard to understand it".

Morgan walked back to everyone and shook her head "I think that whatever happened to caused zombies to roam around and those wall crawlers to appear is different from whatever happened to whoever that was... I got a sort of different feeling from it".

Yuzu nodded and then hummed a bit "It seemed to be at least high-class level too though it was pretty slow and could only attack in close range".

Claire shook her head and smiled at the girls "I'm just glad you girls were here with me, I feel like I would have had a hard time dealing with that creature if I was on my own".

The girls just smiled at Claire and nodded at her letting her know that they were happy to be here to help her.

The girls looked around a bit just in case they missed something, which let them find a lot of ammo for Claire, while Claire herself was busy loading her handgun and grenade Launcher, after that, they walked towards where they fell and Claire decided to call out to the little girl "Hey! Little girl!?... It's safe now... It's over".

The little girl walked over to the edge of the metal platform and looked down towards Claire and the girls "Are you sure?".

The girls and Claire nodded "Yeah, I promise everything is fine".

Morgan fist pumped "We kicked the monster's butt!".

The little girl giggled finding Morgan's attitude funny while Hope, Yuzu, and Karin smiled at Morgan, they knew she was trying to help calm the little girl down so she could believe them.

Claire giggled at Morgan, her enthusiasm always cheers her up, Claire then spoke up to the girl "Hey, can you lower that ladder beside you?".

The little girls turned to look at the ladder for a second and then spoke up to Claire "Will you help me find my mom?".

Claire sighed "You're mom is down here?".

The little girl looked down "I think so... I hope so...".

Claire and the girls frowned, they can see that the little girl was very worried about her mother and they can't blame her with everything going on in the city they were sure the little girl must be extremely worried, Claire turned to look at the girls who gave her a nod which made her smiled.

She then looked up at the little girl and nodded at her "Yeah of course we'll help you".

The little girl smiled at Claire and the girls, she then turned around and lowered the ladder, Claire climbed up while the girls just jumped onto the metal platform.

Once on top, the little girl took off running "This way guys!".

The girls looked at each other and then nodded deciding that it was best to follow the little girl for now.

Eventually, they caught up to her and followed her to a metal staircase that lead to some sort of control room where the little girl pointed to the machinery or more specifically a lever "It won't move...".

Claire easily pull it down which made the little girl rather excited "You did it!".

Right outside the control room, a platform began to move and the group of girls walked out of the Control Room and began to walk toward the new platform, Claire decided to talk to the little girl to ease her nerves a bit since she seems a bit nervous still "So what's your mom like?".

The little girl looked down and answered Claire's question "She works at Umbrella, she's making an important new medicine".

The girls listened to the conversation intently and decided to keep quiet for now so as to not overwhelm the little girl though they didn't know what the little girl was talking about but Claire seemed to "Umbrella? That big pharmaceutical company?".

The little girl nodded but then she seemed a bit sad now "My mom is always at work... I don't get to see her much".

The girls frowned a bit, they never had the same problem the little girl had with her mom for Morgan and Hope their parents always make sure to make time for them and even drop anything they're doing just to care for them.

This is why they both feel loved and cared for by everyone, especially Harry, they knew he was always busy with one thing or the other but they also know that if asked by them he would let the world burn just to help them but the girls try not to take advantage of that.

Karin and Yuzu didn't have that problem either since their mom and dad worked at home and always had time for them, their brothers Ichigo and Harry always spent time with them and took care of them all the time.

Still, the girls knew that they would be sad and heartbroken if they didn't get to see anyone they consider family for a long time.

Claire smiled at the little girl "Well, hopefully, you'll get to see your mom soon".

Everyone walked across the new platform and reached the other side of the third floor while Claire continued to talk to the little girl "So where's your dad?".

The little girl looked down "He, um... worked with mom but... he's gone".

Claire frowned "Wow... both of my parents are gone too, it's just me and my brother".

The little girl's eyes widen a bit "Oh... I'm sorry...".

Claire smiled and shook her head "Don't be, it means we have something in common and... that's a good thing right?" the little girl gave Claire a small smile.

While they were talking Hope walked up to an open locker and found another hip pouch, she smiled and then walked up to Claire and gave it to her.

Claire took it with a smile and then everyone continued on until they reached another ladder, Claire and the little girl began to climb it but the girls just jumped up again to reach the next floor.

Morgan who was the first one to reach the top and crashed head first into a thick metal lid "Ouchie!" but the metal lid didn't stop her ascension and was instead blown open, Morgan landed on the fourth floor soon after.

Hope, Yuzu, and Karin arrived as well and immediately turned towards Morgan since they heard her and saw her rubbing her head a bit, she seemed more irritated than hurt though.

Hope walked up to her and inspected her head "Are you okay Morgan?".

Morgan smiled at Hope and nodded "I'm fine~ it just caught me by surprise and made me say ouchie out of reflex hehe~".

Hope smiled at Morgan and nodded while Karin and Yuzu inspected the now destroyed heavy lid "... This thing is super heavy and thick...".

Yuzu nodded "Well it's a good thing Morgan is very thick-headed then".

Morgan jumped a bit in surprise "Hey!".

The girls giggled at the betrayed and indignant look on Morgan's face while Claire and the little girl finally arrived, Claire came up first and then helped the little girl climb up.

Claire then looked at the girls and smiled when she saw them giggling themselves silly "Come on guys!".

The little girl stared at the girls with a curious look on her face and seemed to want to ask something but she then thought better of it and didn't say anything, meanwhile, the girls turned towards Claire and smiled at her and all four responded with a loud "Okay~".

The little girl then looked around and seemed to have seen something she recognized "Over there!" she then took off running and stopped by a parking lot gate "Oh it's closed".

Claire and the girls walked up to her and stopped by her side, Claire looked around and noticed some sort of mechanism on the parking lot gate's side and approached it to inspect it closely "Dammit we're going to need a keycard..".

Morgan then raised her hand "I can just smash it open!".

Before Claire could agree to Morgan's suggestion Hope spoke up "Let's avoid destroying anything that can impede the zombies or whatever other creature out there from moving easily around here, this is a new location and we don't know what's on the other side of any gates or doors around here".

Claire thought about it for a second and then nodded "Yeah that's actually a good idea Hope".

Everyone nodded in agreement though Morgan was pouting a bit which the little girl noticed and giggle a bit finding it funny, Morgan noticed she was laughing and smiled at her not really caring she was laughing at her.

Claire smiled at the girls and then hummed "Are you sure this is the way?".

The little girl turned her head towards Claire and nodded "This is the way my mom took me last time".

Suddenly they heard footsteps and a voice that called out an unknown name "Sherry? I've been looking everywhere for you Sherry... brave little girl to leave your house in the middle of this mess...".

Morgan and Hope growled a bit, something about this stranger just made their instincts flare while Yuzu and Karin frowned, the little girl now identified as Sherry looked confused while Claire raised an eyebrow at the stranger.

But then he raised his gun at them "On the ground hands behind you he-".

That's as far as he got before his gun was yanked up and off his hand and then punched in the gut so hard by Morgan that the poor fat bastard immediately puked out his lunch.

Claire and Sherry stared in surprise at what just happened, it happened so fast that they couldn't even see Hope or Morgan move, Hope walked up from her side and raised a hand and the Handgun that had been yanked up from the stranger flew to her where she easily caught it with her hand.

The stranger coughed and groaned in pain "You little shit! do you know who you just hit!".

The stranger looked up to curse out the little girl who just punch him but froze and he looked up and met with her eyes, her green and reptilian eyes.

Morgan frowned and glared at the man "What do you want with Sherry?".

The man snapped out of his shock and glared "None of your fucking business!".

Hope walked up to the stranger and held up his gun, the stranger was about to launch himself towards her to get it but to his shock, her hand lit up in crimson and yellow flames that melted his gun.

Hope made the melted liquid metal float up with Telekinesis and looked down at the stranger "... I'm only going to ask this once, what do you want with Sherry and why did you point your gun at us?".

Despite those words coming out calmly and softly from Hope, everyone could tell that she wasn't amused and was quite angry at the stranger.

The stranger glared and scowled at Hope who didn't appreciate these gestures "Well like Daddy always says... if they won't talk?... Make them".

Hope then threw the red hot liquid metal at the stranger where it hit him on the body and face, the man began to roll on the ground screaming in pain.

Claire hid Sherry behind her so she wouldn't see and even though she thought it was a bit brutal the stranger did pull out a gun at them out of nowhere and wanted something with Sherry.

Sherry watched and heard everything with her eyes wide and full of surprise {What happened? How did they move so fast? and how did all of them do all of that?}.

Hope let the stranger man scream in pain for a while longer but then her eyes glowed again and the man froze as if being held down by something "I'll ask again, what do you want with Sherry and why did you raise your gun at Claire?".

The man was in a lot of pain but he was able to hear Hope ask the same questions again, not wanting to upset the scary little girl again he began to speak "Her mother sent me to get her!... but I couldn't risk anyone getting in my way and slowing me down... so I had to try and neutralize everyone here!...".

Hope frowned and stared at the man but Claire then approached him "You know where Sherry's mom is? Where is she?".

The man was gasping in pain but he then answered the question "She at the labs... I have a card key in my pocket... you can go there through the gate just don't hurt me again!."

Claire frowned and went to look inside the man's pockets, she found the keycard but it seems to have been damaged when he was rolling around on the ground.

Still, she decided to give it a try so she stood up and went to the Keycard Reader on the side of the gate and slid the damaged Keycard inside, to her disappointment it didn't want to work "Sigh... it's no use, it's too damaged...".

Hope sheepishly grinned "Sorry?".

Claire giggled and shook her head "It's fine Hope, Your and Morgan's quick thinking probably saved my and Sherry's life but it looks like we're not going to go through this gate...".

Everyone hummed but Morgan suddenly stomped on the stranger's hand breaking it which caused him to scream "Is there another keycard for the garage gate somewhere around here?".

The stranger couldn't speak but nodded which let everyone know that there was another way to go through the gate.

Claire nodded "Alright then let's go and find it".

Yuzu, Karin, and Morgan nodded but Hope then spoke up "You guys go ahead... I have something to do first".

Claire frowned and was about to say something but Morgan grabbed her hand which made her turn to look at her, Morgan shook her head and whispered loud enough for only Claire to hear "He's a very bad man Claire... Hope and I can smell darkness and sin on him... and it's disgusting...".

Claire looked down but in the end, she nodded, she trusted the girls to know what they were doing and the fact that Hope wanted to deal with this away from Sherry made her nod and immediately head towards the door to the side of the parking lot gate.

They needed to find a keycard and standing here pondering wasn't going to make one magically appear.

Sherry looked back and stared as Hope stood above the stranger, Hope smiled at her and waved which made her smile.

As soon as everyone reached the door they opened it and went through it, Hope turned around and stared at the stranger who was now staring at her with wide eyes full of fear "I don't know what you have done for such pitch black darkness to cling to you and quite frankly I don't care but you're to dangerous to allow you to live... Daddy always told me to deal with a threat right away".

Hope raised a hand and it suddenly burst into flames, the stranger didn't even get the chance to scream before Hope blasted him with a bit of cosmic fire incinerating him and turning him into a pile of ash in a second.

On the other side of the room Claire, Sherry, and the girls found a dark hallway so Claire took out her flashlight and took a look around, seeing that it was empty and safe for now allowed her to relax a bit.

Suddenly the door behind them opened and Hope walked in, she smiled at everyone and nodded letting them know that she had dealt with the stranger that had threatened them.

Claire smiled and nodded "Okay, I think we should introduce ourselves since we're going to be together for a while, sound good?".

Everyone nodded but Claire caught how Yuzu, Hope, and Morgan were already grinning which made her giggle a bit in amusement, she, of course, knew what they were planning of doing.

Claire then turned her head towards Sherry "I'm Claire Redfield".

Sherry smiled and nodded "I'm Sherry Birkin".

Sherry then turned towards the girls, she was really curious about them, especially with the things she had seen them do like jumping really high and how they attacked that man so fast.

Morgan grinned, spinning on her toes and then stroking a pose while also using her red lightning to flare behind her "I am the Red Dragon Empress, Morgan Stark!".

Hope twirled around too and then stop beside Morgan and also struck a pose while flaring her flames behind her "and I am The Phoenix Force, Hope Potter!".

Yuzu then also spun around while releasing a bit of her black reishi around her, she stoop in front of Hope and Morgan and bent on one knee while striking a pose "I am the Black Arrow Quincy, Yuzu Kurosaki!".

Karin's eyebrow twitched in embarrassment, she definitely did not want to do all of that but her sister, Hope, and Morgan were staring at her with such wide and hopeful eyes that even Claire was watching her expectantly.

So Karin sighed and scratched her head before defeatedly nodding to Yuzu, Hope, and Morgan who brightly smiled at her and waited for her to make her introduction.

Karin sighed and then also spun around a bit while releasing a bit of her black wind and stopped right beside Yuzu and in front of Morgan and Hope " I am the Moonlit Black Wind Soul Reaper, Karin Kurosaki!".

Karin sighed and sweatdropped but accepted the fact that this was a routine now, Sherry tilted her head in confusion, she didn't know what was all that though it did look pretty cool and fun.

But there was one thing that was very obvious to Sherry and that was that all of these girls weren't normal and she couldn't wait to find out more about them, maybe they'll want to be her friends too!.
