Chapter-5

"But Natasha, you know she doesn't like to celebrate, right?" asked Charlie. "Yeah, but this can't be forever…" I said. The thing is Olivia's parents passed away in a car crash three years back. This incident had changed her life completely. It took her a lot of time to cope up with this. But she hasn't celebrated her birthday since then. After her parents death, she lives with her Grandma.

"So what is the plan you were talking about?" asked Cami. I explained them everything on our way back home. Everyone loved it. "But we'll have to talk about this with her Grandma first." said Mathilde. "Yes" I said.

"And how do we do that?" asked Charlie. "Olivia takes Max for walk after 5:pm. We can talk to Mrs Thomas in the phone then" I said. (Max is her pet dog.) "Ok great. So let's all meet at Natasha's house by 5.pm. If Mrs Thomas agrees, we can plan everything properly today itself. Fine by all?" said Cami. "Yes" all agreed. And we all left for our house.

Everyone reached my place at 5. "Olivia must have left by now. I think we should call her." suggested Mathilde. "Yes" I said and dialled her number. "I hope she agrees. Fingers crossed" I said. Without wasting any time I clicked the dial button on my phone. Mrs Thomas picked up the call. "Hello" she said. "Good evening Mrs Thomas. Natasha this side." I said with a smile. "Hello darling. Long time eh? How have been?" she asked. "I'm fine. How are you?" I asked. "Perfectly fine" she said.

"Olivia isn't home right now by the way." she said. "Umm.. actually Charlie, Mathilde and Cami are here at my place." I clicked the speaker button. "We wanted to talk to you about something." I said in a nervous tone. "Yes, please." she said. I explained her everything. "It's a really really good idea." she said. "But Olivia will be in the house on Friday evening. How can we do the decoration and other preparations?" she asked. "There's a football match in our school at evening in which I have participated. I can take Olivia along. These three can come to your house and do the preparations at that time." said Charlie. "Ok then you can plan out everything and keep me updated. Olivia's really lucky to have friends like you all." she said in a happy tone. "Thank you for the permission Mrs Thomas." We all said. "Well, if y'all need any help you can call me anytime." she said. "Yes" we all said.

After the call, Cami took out a book and pen from her bag. "Let's prepare a list." she said. We listed out everything and divided our work. I ordered pizza and we had a great time. "I'm really excited for the birthday." said Mathilde excitedly. "I just want our old Olivia back." I said and all agreed. "But Olivia shouldn't know about this surprise at all." said Charlie. We all looked at Mathilde. "Of course I won't tell her." she said. "You better not. You know you are bad at keeping secrets right? said Cami. "Don't worry guys." said Mathilde. Everyone left after some time. "I can't wait for Friday" I said to myself.
