On the run for safety, the abused merman prince was almost run down by the humans, who later took him in as one of their own. 

Exploited from a young age, the prince was wary of those around him. He doesn't trust the mortals as much as he doesn't trust his family. 

And he was resolved to live the rest of his existence in silence, pain, and distrust.

However, the new family was determined to show the mute prince, there was so much more to life than he thinks. 

And gradually, the merman started warming up to their family, especially their strange son, who seems to have more than enough secrets up his sleeves.

The Merman's Forbidden Love

Everything was going well for the family. Not only have Lyre's brothers not made an appearance since the day they fought at Rain's special place, but Lyre seems to have gotten closer to the family. 


Life was going so well for them that he could ask for nothing else. With a family that loved him, and a boyfriend whose love is like a breath of fresh air, to his depraved soul. He couldn't ask for anything else. 


Gradually, the merman forgot about his biological family. He does remember them occasionally, but not all the time. 


"How is my baby doing today?" Rain kissed his neck. 


Lost in thoughts, Lyre didn't notice anything until Rain came close to him.


"I'm not fine." Lyre Frowned at Rain. "I've been sitting here for close to an hour, and you only showed up now!" Lyre whined, looking pissed.


"I do apologize for that, love." Rain kissed Lyre's neck. "I just needed to complete the registration form." 


"And you couldn't take me with you?" Lyre furrowed his brows.
