The journey from the ancient castle was almost too easy. There were little monsters and no evidence of anyone following him. Callum knew the tables would turn once the sun completely vanished over the horizon.
It was only an hour or so away.
As he journeyed forward, the commander didn't know what he expected as he walked up to where he left Henry and Sylaron.
He realized they moved their camp closer to the forest's edge and he commended Henry for doing that all by himself. Not only was it an incredible physical feat but it was smart. They hadn't thought of that in the heat of the emergency beforehand.
However, what was once a slow but stable walk turned into a full-on run when he saw Henry on top of some mercenary. He was taken aback when he heard Henry threaten to kill the man he was pinning to the ground.
"Henry put your sword away," Callum said. "Remember who you are."
