Chapter 37: Should We call the monks?

Giyamoto gave the letter to his Lightning falcon which it received and flew towards the direction of the palace which is in the southern part of the land,

(A.N: Kashigawa's house is located in the central part of the shogunate Empire in which is also where he executes his base of operation)

Meanwhile...

Ymir clashed with the group of brave samurai warriors who stayed to face him, he admired their bravery and they also gave him a good fight but sadly they were not at the same level as Hiroko and the others,

They used traps, wires, kunais, and any kind of weapons a samurai could utilize but sadly the materials aren't strong enough to stop Ymir,

Some of them even resorted to engaging in combat and using their speed jumping tree by tree to distract him and attempted to get as close as possible, but due to Ymir's size a single movement of his, creates a strong gust of wind pushing the samurais back and giving them a hard time approaching him,

But sadly it wasn't enough the samurais slowly became exhausted including the leader,

"Damnit, if this goes on even longer we'll all die" says Kabuki,

While Kabuki was thinking of a plan to escape with his men while moving around dodging debris flying around,

Kabuki's mind was overwhelmed by how they can escape alive when suddenly he felt someone hold his shoulder and when he turned around he saw one his voice captain and also his friend smiling at him,

"it's great fighting with you captain" he said with a smile hiding a sad expression,

"what are you talking about Satoshi? waht do you mean by that!" Kabuki said as his eyes widened surprised as to what Satoshi had said,

Satoshi became silent and tilted his head indicating Kabuki to look what's behind him and when he did he saw all his men wearing the same expression as Satoshi,

Kabuki realized what this meant and tears started to flow from his eyes,

They were willing to die with honor Rather than showing their backs on the enemy,

Kabuki became silent and wiped his tears away he then inhaled deeply and then he shouted,

"To die with honor than to live with disgrace Glory to the Bloodmoon!!!" he said as he led his men towards Ymir,

Ymir raised his sword point at the sky as he watched the warriors approaching him chanting their battle cry,

When they're within his range he quickly slashed horizontally slicing the land in half and killing the brave group of warriors,

Kabuki saw a sudden flash of light appear right in front of him and then his vision darkened there dropped dead along with his brave men,

There the brave warrior named Kabuki and his 500 men died honorably while Fighting a giant named Ymir even though their life was cut short Ymir will never forget their bravery of facing him no matter the odds,

After the battle Ymir buried them and prayed for their souls even though it's just a hologram giving a warrior a peaceful goodbye is not a bad thing to do,

...

Kashigawa and his wife Sashime were busy preparing things when they heard footsteps coming towards them and they knew who it was.

A few minutes ago...

A man in armor ran hurriedly towards the

shogun's palace in which he was stopped by the guard,

"state your business?" the guard asked,

"Im here to deliver a letter for The shogun" the man in armor replied revealing a scroll,

Seeing this the guard gave way,

The man politely bowed and quickly entered the palace and walked towards the direction of Kashigawa's office where he currently is,

The man stopped in front of the door where he knelt with one knee and bowed his head,

"Shogun-sama I'm here to deliver a letter" says the man,

"You may enter"Kashigawa ordered,

The man entered the room and knelt with one knee and extended his arms presenting a scroll,

Both Kashigawa and Sashime wondered why someone would send them a letter,

Kashigawa took the scroll from the man's hand and began reading it,

"Dear lord Kashigawa, if you're reading this I am dead for I have fought the giant whom you were looking for but sadly that giant is too powerful even 500 of my men and I did not stand a chance against Forgive me my Lord, your loyal servan Kabu-" before Kashigawa could finish reading the letter he crushed it by gathering his qi onto his palms veins Started popping up his head,

Sashime who was by his side understood his anger even though Kabuki is not an important person, Kabuki played a major role in the war he may not be the best swordsman but with his intellect he can create strategies in a short period of time, because of that he became of the reasons why the bloodmoon clan didn't have any casualties despite being outnumbered,

But now he is dead, even though they are not close Kabuki was one of Sashime's colleagues and also Kashigawa's subordinate,

small teardrops fell on her cheeks without realizing it, even though the samurais may not fear death every people is important for them since a ruler is nothing without his/her people and that's why every life matters no matter how insignificant they may be they are still their people which they vow to protect,

Sashime wipes her tear she then grabs Kashigawa's hand and leans onto his shoulder,

"everything's gonna be okay, it's not your fault they died in a warrior's way and you should be proud of it" she said as she calmly looked into his eyes,

Kashigawa felt her gaze piercing through him and it managed to calm him down he sat and gently caressed her face with his hand,

"you're right they died in a warrior's way protecting his people even though they had no chance of winning, I should be proud of them," Kashigawa said as he felt his body became lighter as if he had let go of his burden and was reborn anew,

Sashime smiled and kissed him on his lips,

"say... Should we call the monks?" she suggested,
