Crazy night it was ! I still don't understand how did I trusted the deadly original hybrid just like that ? And in the first place, I don't even know what does that means ?

Well I should get out of here as soon as possible. I don't want to be stuck here in a house full of vampires, where half of them think of me as their after dinner snack !

I washed my mouth and made myself appear a bit presentable so, I could be able to leave for my house and nobody should throw stones at the mad girl !

I opened the door,

" Where do you think you are going, love ? "

Kevin said smirking leaning against the door frame.

Behind him were standing Ethan, Daniel and Steve. They all were looking at me like they were here for something. My heart started beating so fast.

" I... um... I was... "

I stammered in panic.

" Leaving us ? "

Ethan said raising his eyebrows.

" Um... I have my home and work... "

I tried to say something to get out.

" Do you really think, you could pass by us and make it up to there, huh ? "

Daniel said in a very calm and threatening way.

" Wha... what do you mean... "

I got so scared.

" He means, we are hungry. We need a snack and you are just perfect for us ! "

Steve said running his tongue over his teeth with a cold face.

" Kevin... you... you promised me... "

I tried to remind of his promise.

" What ? "

Kevin asked blankly.

" That you won't hurt me nor would you let anyone hurt me... "

I said almost crying.

" Oh, did I ? I am sorry but I can't remember anything like that ! "

Kevin said with a smirk on his face.

I tired to close the door but Kevin held it open and they got inside. Oh my god they are gonna kill me ! They bared their fangs and...

" Nooooo ! "

I screamed my lungs out and opened my eyes breathing hard, damped in sweat and heart fluttering as if, it would burst if it wouldn't calmed down.

So, it was a dream, phew !

Knock. Knock.

I flinched at the sudden knock.

Oh, god is the dream gonna come true ?

" Amber ? Everything alright ? "

It's Kevin's voice, genuinely concerned.

No words came out of my mouth.

" I am coming in. "

He said when he didn't got any reply from me.

Oh god why ? He opened the door and saw me panting and damped in sweat. He rushed to me,

" Hey ! What's wrong ? Looks like it was nightmare. You are sweating so much. And looks like you saw a ghost ! Relax. Come here. Come close to me... "

He said affectionately.

He reached out his hand and I backed up. I was not sure to do that. After what I saw; though it was a dream but, dreams do come true !

" It's ok, love. I am not gonna hurt you, don't be scared. You have to believe me. It's alright, nothings wrong. You are safe now. "

He said assuringly.

He smiled his dimpled smile and I felt better. My heart relaxed a bit and I let him touch me. He caressed my head and made me calm down, when Ethan entered the room.

" You screamed ! What happened ? "

Ethan asked. confused.

" Probably a nightmare. "

Kevin answered for me.

" Let me guess, we attacking you ? "

Ethan said casually.

How does he knows ? Is it written over my face ?

" Ethan, don't scare her ! "

Kevin said making him shut up.

" I am not scaring her, I am just asking. "

Ethan said shrugging.

" You alright now, love ? "

Kevin asked concerned.

" Yes, I guess. "

I said doubtfully.

" Great. I'll make you some sandwiches and then, I can take you home. Is that alright ? "

Kevin asked caressing my head.

" Yeah, sure. Thanks. "

I said.

" Get ready. I'll wait downstairs. "

Kevin said smiling.

" Yeah. "

I said.

Kevin left but Ethan was staring at me.

" Is there something you wanna talk about ? "

I asked him.

" No. Am I right about your nightmare ? "

Ethan asked.

" Um... "

I didn't dare admitting.

" It's ok, you can tell me the truth. I won't hurt you if you tell me. "

Ethan said sweetly.

And somehow I trust him as well... Just like that !

" Actually... yes. It felt so real like... "

I said remembering the dream.

" It's ok, Amber. Forget about it. It's never gonna come true. We are waiting downstairs. "

Ethan said smiling.

" Ok. "

I said smiling back at him.

What a morning ! I better get ready and get out of here. Though they are being friendly, but I can't deny the fact that they are vampires !

I got ready and ran downstairs where, Kevin was preparing sandwiches for me. I wonder when did he brought the bread; considering their diet, they don't need it !

" Good morning, love. Take a sit and have some hot sandwiches. I'll get you some orange juice as well. And don't hesitate to tell me if you don't like them at all. "

Kevin said smiling warmly.

Yeah, like I don't love my life and wanna end it right now; sure why not ! I took a bite and mmmm... it's so tasty ! Like I've never tasted anything like this ever !

" Mmmm... it's so tasty, Kevin. What did you added to it ? "

I asked excited.

" That's a secret, love. You liked it ? Have some more. "

Kevin said satisfied.

He made me eat 4 sandwiches and made me gulp down the huge glass of orange juice ! Like I couldn't even finish my single sandwich and he made me eat 4 and the juice !

But they were so tasty, so I don't mind an uneasy stomach.

After finishing those, I got up from the chair and he grabbed his coat and we turned to leave for my home. I looked at Ethan, he was looking sad.

" Bye, Ethan. "

I said.

" Bye, Amber. Hope we meet again. "

Ethan said longing in his eyes.

What ? God no ! I don't intend on meeting them again. Though, they didn't hurt me but they are vampires and originals ! I can't risk my life.

We turned and left the place. Kevin started the car and I got inside. He drove very nicely to my place.

When we got there, something was terribly wrong. So many people were gathered near my home. I ran to see what's wrong and...

Oh my god !

My home is not there ! It is completely destroyed. Someone used a bulldozer and destroyed my home !

Oh my...

I was about to fall when, Kevin caught me.

" Hey, watch out love. "

Kevin said grabbing me.

He took me to the car and made me sit inside. I don't know who it might be ? I badly want to kill the person who made me homeless.

It was my parent's only memory I had with me and... It's gone now; just like that ! Tears gathered in my eyes but they didn't fall.

My heart was beating so fast, my body temperature rose and I can't breathe easy. Kevin was saying something but, I couldn't hear it.

I looked at my destroyed home and then at Kevin I don't know what to do or say. Out of nowhere, Daniel, Steve and Ethan came to us.

" Looks like he wanted to kill her too with the house but she was very lucky she wasn't in it when, it got destroyed ! "

Daniel said observing the place.

" 'He' who ? "

Kevin asked getting mad.

" Some guy named Travis Lock... um... "

Steve said trying to remembering the name.

" Lockwood ? "

I asked shocked.

" Yes, exactly. Travis Lockwood !"

Steve said confirming.

" What probably evil you might have done to him that, he wanted you dead along with your house, little girl ? And who is he ?"

Daniel asked amused.

" He is my... fiancé ! "

I wispered.

" What ? Why would he want you dead ? What happened ? "

Kevin asked shocked.

" I told him, I will ask his mother to call off our wedding... as he was cheating on me ! "

I told them.

" Just that ? And he want you dead for it ? There must be something else too... "

Ethan asked in disbelief.

" I can't find any other reasons for him to do that, than that ! "

I said crying.

" But it's a very small reason to... "

Kevin too was shocked.

" How do you know it was Travis ? "

I asked Daniel and Steve.

" Last night we were passing by and we saw a few guys were having fun destroying this house and they were calling Travis to one guy and he said, ' What does she thinks of herself ? I am Travis Lockwood she can't use me as her puppet ! '."

Steve said.

" Don't tell me you helped the guys doing this ! Now did you ? "

Kevin asked doubtfully.

" Um... We might... have. "

Daniel accepted sheepishly.

" Daniel ! "

Ethan said it disbelief.

" What ? "

Daniel snapped as if, Ethan was being unreasonable.

" How could you do that ? "

Ethan said in disbelief.

" We didn't know it was her palce ! "

Steve said saving his ass.

" Whether or not you knew it was her place, how could you help them doing something bad ? You should've stopped them ! "

Ethan said raising his voice.

" Look, we are not originals nor are we hybrid; we need blood regularly to keep ourselves strong ! When we got a free snack, we did some fun. Big deal ? Stop being our mother ! "

Daniel said irritated.

" I am not being your... "

Ethan said trying hard to calm down.

" Shut up you guys ! We need to focus on her right now. Amber, love come here. "

Kevin yelled at them and reached his hand to me.

He got me some water. I was practically shivering. Whatever it was, he shouldn't have done this ! My home was the last memory of my parents. I had so many memories in this home and now...
