Kevin and Ethan convinced me to let Eve go out in public along with mother. They aren't worng, I was caging her here to save her from the world but it couldn't have backfired and made her a bad person according to Ethan; and he isn't wrong !

Kevin took Eve to the supermarket along with mother and Ethan stayed with me. We were chatting when, Daniel was leaving the house.

I decided to ask him about his encounter with Suzy. How and when did they mate and since when he loves her ?

" Daniel ? "

I called for him.

" What's up, mama ? "

Daniel said teasing me.

He called me mama once to tease and got mad at him and from that day he calls me mama to tease me.

" Where are you going ? ".

I asked.

" I call you mama just to tease you, you don't have to really act like my mama ! "

Daniel said scoffing.

" I am not being your mama, I just want answers to my few questions. "

I said.

" Are we gonna play quiz now ? "

Daniel asked rolling his eyes.

" How do you know Suzy ? "

I asked him directly cutting off his bullshit.

" And I thought you said your are not acting like my mama ! "

Daniel said crossing his arms.

" She is my best friend, I have the right to know about her life ! "

I said firmly.

" Then why not ask her instead ? "

Daniel said sticking out his tongue at me teasingly and left the house.

What the hell !

" He is right darling, you should ask her instead. You know him, he is arrogant. "

Ethan said putting his hand around my shoulder.

" That's what's troubling me Ethan ! You know how he is and he is saying that he loves Suzy. I am afraid he shouldn't catch her in his trap and hurt her. She already have went through an abusive relationship, she doesn't deserves to face another one ! "

I said worried about her.

" Well, I don't think he will do anything like that. As far as I have known him, I never heard he being in love. He haven't cared about any girl before. Though he likes to create a mess; but he never helps someone without any motive.

And his only motive is, having the blood of the victim. And he have saved her and haven't had her blood yet, I think he isn't lying about loving her. "

Ethan said making his point.

" But she haven't told me anything about him. Nor about any guy following her or disturbing her. She didn't even mentioned meeting any guy at all. She had told me about her boyfriend though. "

I said.

We heard some sound from Daniel's room where Suzy was sleeping and we rushed there. She was up and was trying to get the glass of water beside her table.

" Suzy ! "

I said and ran to her and hugged her tightly and she hugged me back.

" Oh my god, Amber. I can't believe I am here. I thought I was gonna die at his hands. "

Suzy said crying in my arms.

" It's alright dear, you are here now. You are safe rest assured. "

I said caressing her back.

" Yes, all thanks to Dani he saved me from that psyco monster. "

Suzy said still crying.

Dani ?

She don't only know him but they are comfortable around eachothers. That means, they have know eachothers for a long time.

" How do you know him ? You have never told me anything about knowing him or anyone. "

I asked her.

" Well, I didn't know you know him already. "

Suzy said.

" That's not the question here, Suzy ! The question is, why didn't you told me about knowing him ? "

I said getting impatient.

" Relax, darling. You are gonna scare her. And she isn't in the condition to be interrogated. Let her have some food and rest and then you can continue with your interrogation. "

Ethan said stopping me from firing machine gun of questions at her.

He is right though. She have just recovered from her injuries she needs to rest.

" Yeah. I am sorry. What do you wanna eat ? What should I cook for you ? "

I asked her.

" Nothing. I am not hungry right now. "

She said looking at Ethan.

I understands what she wants to say.

" Um...

Ethan, why don't you check my necessity kit and order what's required ? "

I said asking him to leave us alone.

But will he be really Ethan if, he understood what I want to say without explaining it to him ?

" Darling, you memory is becoming weak ! I restocked it a few days ago, remember ? "

Ethan said making me look like a fool infrof her. But I don't care because she never judges me.

" Ethan ! "

I said seriously and then he got I am asking him to leave.

" Oh, yeah. I will go check it. Take care of your friend. "

Ethan said and left the room.

" Now, tell me everything. Why didn't you told about knowing Daniel. And let it alone, why didn't you told me about your boyfriend manipulating you into leaving your job and your own home and even hurting you physically ? "

I asked her loosing all my patience.

The thought made me feel jealous and angry that, Daniel knew all of it and even helped her and she didn't even thought of telling me about it !

" Calm down Amber. I didn't meant to hide anything from you. But the circumstances didn't allowed me to add more worry in your situation you already were ! "

Suzy said.

" What the hell is this bullshit ? What circumstances ? "

I asked confused.

" You were worried about your pregnancy, you baby bump changing colors, the tension between Ethan and Kevin regarding you and much more. I didn't wanted to get you worried about me as well. And that's why I didn't tell you about his changed behavior. "

Suzy said caressing my hand.

I wanted to get mad at her but she was right. I was way too worried during my pregnancy. But she didn't had to hide it from me.

" Ok fine, but what would have I done if, anything wrong had happened to you ? You are like a family to me Suzy not just a friend ! I love you more than you think. "

I said hugging her and she hugged me back.

" I know dear. You are my family as well. And that's why I wanted to keep you out of the worries that I could and what was in my hands ! "

She said.

" And what about Daniel ? Since when you know him ? "

I asked.

" I met him even before I met you ! He was very nice to me. He became my best friend. He was nice, kind, funny and handsome and that made me fall for him. But unfortunately, he didn't !

He only thought of me as a friend and when I confessed my feelings for him, he rejected and said that, we should only remain friends as he have no feelings for me !

But I couldn't be his just friend with the feelings of love in my heart for him and so, I refused to be his friend and ended contact with him completely.

I couldn't move on from him and so, I was sad and lonely. But then, after a few years we met. And I started smiling and laugas well.

Then, when Kevin had asked Daniel to bring you back to him if, he wanted to save Steve, we met after almost 5 years.

I was shocked to see him at my place for you. He was preoccupied with saving his brother and my old feelings were rejuvenated after seeing him. Same old handsomeness and arrogance !

He tried to talk to me again after Steve was alright. And we were at the same old pages, me being in love with him and he wanting me to be his just friend and not girlfriend.

According to him, he don't do relationships. He is the kind nail and bail and he didn't wanted to do that with me and so, he wanted me to stay his friend so, that he be with me without any fear of attachment. But I couldn't do it.

I had to get over him to make my brain have something else than thinking about him 24×7. So, I met Shawn on a dating app and he was nice and handsome.

We went of a few dates and he was very impressive. Daniel had warned me about him and told me to stay away from him. But I thought, he was getting jealous of watching me with someone else. So, I decided to make him jealous till he accepts my feelings for him and express his for me.

But nothing went as planned. Dani never said what I wanted to listen and Shawn was winning my heart with his kindness and possessiveness, which I was seeking from Dani !

I gave up on the hope of Dani ever expressing his feelings and accepted that, he wasn't lying about not having feelings for me and gave in completely to Shawn.

He was nice in the beginning but slowly he started to show his true colors. Whenever I asked for a breakup from him, he started crying blaming his aggressiveness and violence at his bastard boss making him loose his mind and his behavior with me was the outcome of the tension he was having.

I accepted it because I too know a boss can be real pain in the ass !

He started doing stupid stuff in the name of possessiveness and I felt it kinda cute in the beginning but it became his habit to dominate me everytime.

He asked me to move in with him so that, we will get more time together and his frustration would decrease. I did that for him. He told me to quit my current job as the male employees there were eyeing me predatory eyes and only he have the right to do it !

When he had me quit my job and had me in his home, he started beating me in the name of punishment. I endured it in the hope of changing his heart someday but that day never came !

Dani was keeping watch on me and was stalking me just like Kevin did to you. When he didn't found me anywhere he came to Shawn's home and found me in the condition he got me here.

He punched and kicked him bad. Then finally compelled him to cut his wrist till he died and brought me here. "
