Adnan is a slave. 

His wish is to be purchased by a master that won't mistreat him. On the day he was being sold, a mysterious man showed up at the shop demanding an untouched slave. 

As the only virgin slave in the shop, he was given to the dangerous-looking man. 

Before Adnan could process what was going on, he was transported to the palace. The man gave him clear instructions about his duties there.

Adnan strode behind Brandis silently. His mind took that moment to process what it meant for Soren to be back.

Javier allowed him a chance to reach out and touch the unreachable star. He was more than content with adoring the star from a distance as he believed it can never be.

Without intending to, Javier lit a glimmer of hope in his heart that the two of them could be together. Maybe not at present but in the future. Only for him to have his hopes come crashing down on him.

He overreached in a moment of weakness and fell. "What are you thinking about?" Brandis asked trying to start a conversation with Adnan.

Adnan silently stared at him and remained quiet. He had no words to exchange with the man. He was drained.

"You and I should try to get along if I am to keep you the king's secret," Brandis let out.

"You need not worry, you don't have to do that ever again," Adnan sternly uttered.
