Meeting An Arrogant Man

"It looks like it's going to rain tonight because of this wind" Nora thought to herself.

"How will I get home? It's already 8:00 p.m. and I still have to work for another hour before heading home" Nora said to herself.

Nora Raven was a young lady who could be classified as having a low-class status. Her parents tried to send her to school but she dropped out when her younger brother entered high school and it was becoming difficult for them to fend.

Nora continued mopping the floor while singing a song. She was a kind of person that never allows anything bring down her mood.

She always went by a saying that "As long as there is life; there is hope". She was so sure that things were going to get better when the time comes. It was only for a season, and that is why she's working so hard.

She already mapped out plans on how many years she was going to work for her to save a enough for her college. She so much wanted to go back to school to study software engineering.

Her dream is to create a video game. Though, she knew how hard she would have to work for her dream to come through, but she was willing to do it.

While in her train of thoughts, she collided into someone, and fell to the ground making the bucket of water in her hand to drop on the ground.

She winced in pain as she tried to get up from the ground. "Are you crazy?" She suddenly heard a hoarse and cold voice. Her eyes widened; she honestly forgot that she hit someone.

Looking up, she saw an handsome well-built man. He was drop-dead gorgeous. Nora accessed him from his head down to his toes, and couldn't help but mutter the word "Wow"

"He wasn't this good looking on TV" she thought

"Are you deaf?" He cut her off from her train of thoughts. "I'm so sorry, let me help you clean it up" She apologized sincerely--he was like a god to her anyway.

She took the hem of her shirt and began to clean it.

The man got more pissed and moved a step back making her to fall again. "Get off me". He exuded an inexplicable coldness.

Nora stood from the ground slowly and was so angry and disappointed at that point. He was someone that she had looked up to all her life, but she didn't know that he was this ill-mannered.

"Excuse me sir, I also fell. Fine, i know that it was partially my fault that i wasn't paying attention to where i was going, but don't you have eyes yourself? You could have just avoided all of this if you looked at where you were going.

As a gentleman that i believed you to be, you should have apologized too because we are both at fault here. But no, instead, you are here barking like a dog. You are just an arrogant idiot" Nora ranted as she picked up the bucket and the mop, before walking out..

Jason was shocked but still tried to maintain an expressionless face. Nobody has ever spoken to him in that manner before. He had expected her to fall on her knees and plead but instead, she fought him. How dare her?

Nora ran to the bathroom and started crying. She knew he was a wealthy man that had a large influence here, but her stupid mouth still insulted him.

"Couldn't I just ignore him? What's my problem? What if I lose my job" Nora thought about all of this and continued crying. She didn't want to lose this job until she could secure another one in a better place.

After a few minutes, she stood up and washed her face and prepared to go back to work. She had to get back to work or else, it would give them more reasons to sack her off.

Jason was so pissed that he couldn't stop thinking of the incident that occured even inside the meeting. He wanted to finish the meeting and find her but the directors were prolonging it.

He was already annoyed at that point, and said "Send the rest of the documents to my assistant. That's the end of the meeting for today".

"But sir, you have not reviewed the budget for this month" one of the directors exclaimed.

Jason shot him a cold glare before going out of the meeting room.

Jason scrutinized the whole company in search of her, but he couldn't find her. He was reluctant to go home, he looked like a lost puppy searching for his mother.

"Sir; is everything alright?" His assistant, Mr Anthony asked.

Jason glared at him and turned to the other side. He saw the manager coming towards him so he waited because it was a good advantage to find Nora.

"Good evening Mr. Anderson" The manager said with a smile.

"I'm searching for a young Janitor who was cleaning when I walked in" Jason inquired ignoring her greeting.

"That should be Nora, well she should have left. Why are you searching for her? Did she do something wrong?" The manager asked.

"Yes, she..." Mr. Anthony voiced but was interrupted by Jason.

"No, she didn't" Jason said as he walked off.
