"Fine." She rolled her eyes. "We need to talk, " she said, following him out of the house and closing the door behind her.

"I had enough time to spend with a dunderhead like you," she heard him say, and she fumed.

Hunting Down the Last Elf

Just as the hooded figure was about to turn, the camera went off as if it were a setup, frustrating both the officers who had thought they were only a few steps away from solving the case.

"Damn, this thing," muttered Zavior, tapping on the laptop. He removed the flash drive once and replayed it, only for it to happen just the way it did the first time. The screen went off.

The important CCTV tape was abruptly cut off as Zavior and Remie were about to identify the hooded individual and the victim they had apparently saved. The irritation in the room was palpable. Zavior was losing patience since it seemed like a horrible turn of events.

He attempted to rewind the video multiple times in hopes of getting a different outcome, but every time, the screen suddenly went black at the same crucial moment. It appeared as though someone had purposefully interfered with the recording or had suddenly turned off the camera's power.
